OK, so last week I thought the Bulls just need to shake off the dust and get it moving, but now I'm starting to get worried. I even went to the Nugs game last night as a Bulls fan, how disappointing! I'll take a 6th win in a row for my team, but I wanted to see the Bulls at least put up a fight! What's the deal? They just look so sluggish and careless, they can't make shots, they aren't even trying to get high percentage shots, just cranking up jumpers all day. Is it Skiles? Is it the lingering trade rumors? As a Magic fan, I'm sad to see Ariza go (seemed to be finally coming into his own the last week or so and getting over the foot injury), but he was never going to get substantial time with Van Gundy at the helm and we needed a replacement for Battie. My kneejerk reaction is that they should've just signed some vet on his last legs for one year, but oh well. Might be a win-win for both clubs. We'll see.

Scott Skiles tried to get his team to play by declaring at the beginning of the season, "The Kobe trade rumors are DEAD." or whatever. Besides, people have got unrealistic expectations about how athletes are somehow supposed to have KG-like loyalty and Nash-like public persona. The shit is not automatic.
History proves that often times when trade talks are in the air, teams and players underachieve because they're distracted.
the bulls have only played 10 games. lets revisit this in another 10. people talking about dudes "checking out" are basically talking out of their asses. the heat are 2-8 as well. things change.
deng and gordon are legit. heinrich is good. wallace is limited. the rest of their team is okay. thomas has potential. perhaps they overachieved last year and they are getting a taste of reality. the east seems to have gotten better. look at miami. im sure they won more games, on a % basis, without wade in past seasons.
