Yeah, that new Pusha T is a banger. Anyone like the (free) Yung Simmie (Raider Klan) mixtape that was released earlier this year? Excellent imho. A little bit ignorant but the beats are there.

Really liking this edit. Hoping for a new mix of all the edits soon, maybe it's about time for another guest mix on Gilles P?
-
Co-sign, great mix.

That looks quite alright. "Draper media console", how hipsterish

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm gonna be on the look-out for a vintage stand in the local ads. Problem is that most people have thrown away stuff like that. Most likely this will be my best bet. The DIY route is cool but I'm just too …

Haven't seen anything in the API documentation about accessing records for sale. The API seems to focus only on artist/release/label.

Representing Memphis (feat. Matt Berninger and Sharon Jones) by antirecords One of my favorite tracks of 2011.

The single with Sharon jones is great IMHO, the rest not so much. NPR did a cool feature about him and the album. Recommended! Watch him play the song all alone in the NPR Music offices -- and with such joy, you'd swear he ju…

Couldn't find a uncensored one of it. Has a Hilfiguz sample on it (Indy headz know the deal) Other than that, first thing I thought about was the releases on Blue Elephant like this one:

Flying into Luang Prabang from Bangkok with a few friends. Going upstream on the Mekong River to the Thai border with slow boats. Most people go the other way so hopefully the boats will be less crowded. Lots of stories online of people being scamme…

Kinda like it. I'm gonna be in Laos in two weeks time, taking this one with me as a soundtrack. Any words/subject that might upset anyone?

"Christmas time is here" for me too, such a beautiful song. Never heard it as a kid though, christmas television in Sweden is all about Disney characters ("From All of Us to All of You").
-
Saw it yesterday, thought it was quite alright. The imdb rating seems a little bit off, but Northern was never a big thing for me. I'm guessing the director watched this 70's TV special about Wigan's casino a few times.
-
Only gave it a quick listen but the new album sounds quite solid. Very 90's sounding, check a few cuts ("Drama" and "superstar") here. Anyone recognize the organ sample on "Superstar"? I know it is something I've heard a lot of times, "Lord …

Thanks Cosmo! 5/5 Just as good as the first two

I think this could count as a demo, Stephen Stills was an excellent songwriter in the late 60's. Released on CD last year or so. +- the CSN "Demos" compilation from last year.

Is there anyone else then Gilles that have been playing the original version ? I really hope that version surfaces on the internet.

Added to favorites, thanks Cosmo!

Doesn't really seem to be about music anymore when it comes to some Elvis collectors http://www.bamfords-auctions.co.uk/BidCat/Catalogues.asp?F1=3072&F2=4169&F4=1054&select=C28OCT10&status=C

This is also a cool clip (and very well-known one) with Scratch Perry. I can't remember which documentary it's from... Rockers?

Very nice gesture of the compiler, downloaded it last week but haven't got around listening to it yet. The first two volumes are some of the best jazz comps I ever heard. British 60's jazz is solid (and rare).''

Nice tune from Freeway but fake playing a Wurlitzer electric piano when the beat is based on an acoustic piano sample is not a good look. Reminds me of Jamal's "keep it real video"...
