    I watched it last week. The plot is full of holes but you get some cool scenes of Wigan Casino (some of which I've heard are dubious) but the music is outstanding.

    Saw it yesterday, thought it was quite alright. The imdb rating seems a little bit off, but Northern was never a big thing for me.

    I'm guessing the director watched this 70's TV special about Wigan's casino a few times.

    i thought they did a reasonable job of cutting the older footage in.Not a great movie if you dissect it but very watchable and enjoyable if just for the music
