Well he would be playing except for the fact he's a complete and total jagoff.

This is exactly why Jackson was able to guard him. He was tryin to freak on the perimeter. And Jackson is faster. Back that muthafucka into the paint.

I'd be willing to bet very good money that the Dubs hold on the Mavs is over starting this year.

Sun already shone on that dog's ass,

I feel ya - No Jason Richardson.

Plus Avery will know to Matchup vs. Matching Down.

One of the biggest things they exploited is we had no 5 we could play that they even needed to bother to guard (Damps was hurt). A guy like Juwan will remedy situations like that. Also, I expect the team to play looser this year. They've pretty much bottomed out in most peeps' eyes, so fuck it, y'know?

color me disconnected: what, pray tell, is the acronym short for?

    Sorry you asked?

I'm not sure it stands for anything.

But Tyra Banks did sing it so lovely.

Roots stans: remember when Black Thought was gonna do a solo LP and that other Philly lyrical scoring machine was gonna be the sole guest?

Jewelz! 40 BARZ! That who you mean?

Haha, no, I meant K.O.B.E.... Black Thought being the primary lyrical offensive force on the track.

Hill did look pretty good though 1-7 on threes was a little ehh. The Suns as a whole looked pretty sloppy when I was watching. Looks like Nash had seven turnovers.

Hill to me looked like he had a few flashes but otherwise didn't fit. I think Collins said that Hill only tried 12 3-pointers the entire season last year. Taking 7 in one game shows that he doesn't quit fit in to me.

Juwan Howard is going to provide the post play that the Mavs need? You sound desparate.

Maybe in terms of body type but not in style of game. Garnett & Bosh are good shooters but nowhere near what ive been seein from Durant. Dude is on that Ray Allen/ReggieMiller/Dale Ellis/Allan Houston/WaterShooters....

At Texas he showed he had the skill to play inside, with his back to the hoop. It's just that he'll have to get a little stronger and more savvy to do so in the NBA.

Maybe he'll be more like Dirk....big man with unstoppable outside shot

To me, Durant looks like the recently departed R. Lewis.

He dilligent enough to incorporate the 3 into his arsenal. He doesnt have to become a specialist just make em within the system.

If he only took 12 3 pointers in an entire season what makes you think he can make them with the Suns as part of a system?

That what practice is for. That's why shooting coaches are hired. Its not some impossible task.
Players work on various aspectsof their game throughout the season/offseason all the time.
Its not like he Shaq tryin to improve his freethrow shooting.
Hill can shoot and is strong enuff to have the range but never developed that part of his game in the past.

Oh yeah, Kobe is from Philly. Fuck that, Jewelz will SERVE Kobe on the mic, any day.

Against scrub teams that run untraditional lineups like the Warriors, absolutely.

Does Vegas have YOUR team as the second favorite to win the Trophy? Top 5? Top 10?

If you'd watched Howard the last couple years you'd know that he's mostly been facing the basket and shooting jumpers. Is that the kind of post play you're looking for against the Warriors???

This is Hill's 12th year in the NBA. I've never heard anyone say that he's lazy or doesn't have a strong work ethic. I think that simply shows the fact that long range shooting is not his forte so to try to have him do that with the Suns is not going to work.

    In 06-07 he shot 0.167 on 3s on 12 attempts, 05-06 0.250 on 8 attempts, 04-05 0.231 on 13 attempts, 02-03 0.250 on 4 attempts, 01-02 0.00 on 2 attempts.

We'll see how it works. As of now it's a rough start. Game 1 1-7 on 3s.

How does losing to Atlanta fit into that?

Maybe the Warriors don't want such high rankings because then losses like that aren't so big because the expectations aren't as high.

To the elite teams like Dallas I believe that. To young teams like the Warriors who are still developing, it does.

Season is over, right? When is the parade and the 17th banner?

(I kid. I am just posting in anticipation of the local media reaction I am anticipating, which will be completely out of proportion to this evening's events.)

Zactly. Frickin' Barea was gettin mad burn. I wouldn't be surprised at a slow start. Whole new rotation. We'll win tomorrow night w/ Josh back. Hawks came to play tonight. Good win for them. Their team is actually constructed like a Eastern Warriors team 'cept longer (pause).

motown - Howard is a small piece. Even if midrange is his game, that's good. The Warriors could do some nice things on doubles in that series cos they never really had to fuck w/ the 5. He just adds a slight matchup that we didn't have before is all. Our improvement will ultimately come largely from within but I like the roster tweaks. Losing in game 2 to Atlanta is whatever.

Warriors lost to the Clippers in a game they should've won. Tomorrow is Utah again. Looks like a 0-3 start to the season. How fun.
