Seriously, Is the busta album even out yet? Out of everybody signed right now, Young Joc is the only thing the labels will release? Whats going on? Seems like more rappers getting killed than are getting release dates this year. And most everything except for T.I., Ghostface, and that new wayne tape has been totally lackluster. Keep it up, it wont just be New York everybodies talking about bringing back. What are yalls thoughts?

I need that new Clipse album, when is that coming out, I've been waiting for ages.
Current state of the industry seems to be quite effed up...we will have to wait for nas, too...heard that slick rick got dropped. who still cares about albums though? who is still buying new 12"'s of majorlabelrap? I'm confused...
I still cop, but what about the average 14 yr old?
Major label 12"-wise, I definitely have some TI, Juvenile, Lil Wayne, and Chamillionaire on hand.
I think right now, it's time for listeners to stop expecting to be so spoon-fed. There's a group of rappers that live around the corner from you. Go buy their album and get into that for awhile.
MIXTAPE > INDUSTRY
Comes out next week.
I'm looking forward to the Field Mob album and the Young Dro album (which is supposed to come in August).
I don't think he "got dropped" exactly... I don't think he has had any desire to make albums for awhile and they just formalized it. Kind of a shame, though, since Rick is just about the only NY dude from his era that I'd still be interested in hearing an album from. I thought his 1999 album was quite good.
Rick Ross, ???Port of Miami??? ??? Aug. 11
The Roots, ???Game Theory??? ??? Aug. 29
Young Jeezy, [untitled] ??? Sept. 12
Nas, ???Hip-Hop Is Dead??? ??? Sept. 19
Fabolous, [untitled] ??? Oct. 10
you're not checking for that untitled FAB project?
it's like that now? i've heard a few cuts off the roots. not too shabby... the busta LP is so-so. tons of dope cameos though.
bsides: there's probably a few dozen LA indie acts you could hollering at.. if you're having trouble we've got a bunch of chi-town (non-molemen/all natural) groups you can check out.
This is from hiphopsite, right?
Please be serious.

Ghost's album was a dissappointment
Comparing Ghost to T.I. isn't clever - it's just silly. T.I. will be over in a few minutes. Sayin though...
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !
I love Ghost and comparing the two is apples and oranges but saying T.I. will be over in a few minutes is what's "just silly".
That new Ghost album is a joke, aside from 3-4 tracks.
Rap albums I like this year:
Ray Cash - C.O.D.
T.I. - King
E-40 - My Ghetto Report Card
Papa Reu - Life & Music
Da Backwudz - Wood Work
Yo Gotti - Back 2 Da Basics
Vakill - Worst Fears Confirmed
B.G. - Heart of tha Streetz Vol. 2
People Under the Stairs - Stepfather
Juvenile - Reality Check
Keak da Sneak - Kunte Kinte
The foolishness quotient in this thread is just sad.
Neither impressed me that much. Both have a few really amazing songs & some padding. I don't think that reflects badly on either artist, though. The album isn't important in hip hop right now. Its all about the singles.
The huge disparity between quality of the music and level of critical acclaim on fishscale is just outta control (remix).
did this even leak?
I had one like that like two years ago
Is there any way to get around the watermark?
I wonder if this will even come out with the recent changes over at Sony.
