Alto sax legend David Sanborn. Him, Grover and Mike Brecker had it on lock in the 70s and 80s. Purists dismissed it as fuzak but in the words of Roy Ayers, "Man, those cats were grooving." As a teenager this was a gateway into a load of things. Marcus Miller etc.
