Seriously, all homer-ism aside, I get the impression people are kinda down with the new-look Celtics. Certainly their star players are of the likeable variety - I mean, who in their right mind doesn't like Ray Allen or KG? Even I liked those dudes before they came to Boston ...

i mean how much do they have to talk about three guys who have never won shit and came from losing teams ... at least the last time a patchwork team was put together like this - the 2001 lakers - the new guys had at least had some success on their respective resumes ....

There was bound to be a natural backlash to all the craziness. I cant hatt on the players or the franchise but ESPN/NBA is foamin at the mouf.
1) Celtics vs Lakers Rivlary - GTFOHWTB. These mofos are on some WWF bullshit. There's no rivalry anymore. The players on both teams dont have the same tension.
2) Big 3 Big 3 Big 3 Big 3 Big 3.........zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
3) Danny Ainge = Genius.......GTFOHWTB. McHale gets the credit for this shit. He hit his old team off w/ The Big Ticket. Mofos try to paint the picture like Ainge masterminded this big trade.PAUSE.
Regardless, Ill take the Celtics doing well over the played out/overhyped LeBoring/Cavaliers.

Haha, see? Honestly, I think a lot of the hatt is rooted in the just-add-water philosophy that took the worst team in the league last year to, presumably, the best. I'm not saying it's completely warranted, but there's no escaping that fact.
I'm looking forward to the Pistons/Celtics game on December 19. That'll be their first real test in the East.

No one can handle him and the Celtics are thin along their front line. No one in their right mind wants him banging with Howard. Perkins is foul prone. And Scalabrine, Davis and Powe are all under sized. Also I have no idea how Rondo will do against Nelson and Rashard Lewis will get his points. And if it comes down to coaching I'd take Stan Van Gundy over Garnett...I mean Rivers."
