before this game started, i said to my friends "i think the giants are going to get shut out after last night" and the opposite happens. but then during the game i said "time for a 2 out rally!" and then it happened!
now i don't know what i should say for the next game
I felt horrible for our bullpen. There was no run support but giving up a 7 run inning is just unheard of in the world series. I can only hope our offense wakes up.

Ranger fans would rather play the Giants....that's for sure.
Rangers' bullpen, now more infamous than the Alamo.
rookie closer Feliz is a beast but the Rangers middle relief corps has a soft nougat center.
yeah but it's not only the pitchers' fault themselves; consider the coaching. I mean is there really any excuse not to have anyone in the bullpen while Holland's on his, what, 8th ball? By the time they rushed someone out there it was bases loaded with batter up. c'mon. I'm Nolan Ryan I am firing the pitching coach this AM, never mind they're in the middle of a series.
Random but my friend at SF State who is pretty much the leading historian on Filipinos in Stockton traced Tim Lincecum's family history (on his mother's side) all the way back to his great-grandmother. Contrary to reports, he's half-Pinoy, not 1/4.
mathletes check my back of envelope: assuming teams are evenly matched we're looking at a 68.75% chance of the Giants getting rings next year.
obvs the teams are not evenly matched, and home/away splits comes into it, and pitching matchups, and weather, and ballpark effects.. but i'm not a vegas handicapper and i'm not going down that rabbit hole.

especially in a World Series!!
Huge game. Love that we hit so much, but we def had a bad first couple innings and major problems closing.
I'm convinced Molina (who's awesome) briefed his team a lil on our staff's pitching though.

Fox commentator in the 8th: "The Giants are winning with pitching again -- but not theirs!"
awesome!!!!!

In a 7 game series I don't get worried until a home team loses.
Rangers will have to turn it up a notch or two in the next 3 games to make this a series.
I wonder what the Vegas odds were if you picked a Texas/SF World Series before the start of the season?
I think it was about a blizdillion to one. Just above a Bears-76ers World Series.

96 Yankees. So...?
The '10 Rangers are not the '96 Yankees.
I'm just saying...
okay but you do know the ODDS on coming back down 0-2 right?
Don't put the champagne on ice just yet, young.
That said, for sure the Rangers are not the '96 Yankees, that was kind of my point. The rest of the MLB stays in the Bronx's shadow ;)
But no one's setting up along the future SF parade route yet. Right?
