In game 4, the Thunder figured out that they're faster than the Lakers at every position...They play in control too, which makes them extra dangerous. They play excellent team defense as well (something Phoenix has always lacked). Harden and Ibaka are peaking at the right time. Anything is possible in this series now. Lakers got their work seriously cut out.
Doesn't help that their #1 option is moving all stiff either.
What was the last team to win the chip w/ a jumpshooting Big man?
Patrick lost against Hakeem. Tim Duncan/Robinson both are natural post players. Bird at 6'9" had McHale and The Chief. Pierce/Allen/Garnett Shaq/Kobe
Dork has improved in the post, but isnt a natural in the paint. As good as he is, Dampier isnt the role player/'nother superstar to suppliment Dork's "weaknesses".
As he gets older and cant rely on his perimeter game he's gonna have to get in there as a big man, or Dallas has to recruite a classic big.
Kidd is a great rebounder and Butler brings some LONG awaited toughness to Dallas. It seems to have worked, but i havent watched them enuff to critique the Inside/Out game to truly judge. Theyve gotten this far. So well see.
Dirk is a better Gasol....a better Pippen.... you can't build a championship team around Dirk....
So at the beginning of the year only 5-6 teams have a shot at a title.
Wow.

That's insane that in the past 18 years only 4 teams have won the title that weren't the Bulls, Lakers or Spurs.
makes me feel better about that Celtics one

And yes Rock, there are very few teams at the beginning of the season that have any chance of winning the championship each year. The NBA is not an open league like others. Even many of the teams that make it to the playoffs don't have a chance to win a championship.

Batmon, what happened to your REGULAR SEASON DON'T MEAN SCHITT slogan with regards to a 52 as opposed to an 82 game season?
That Houston Rockets team was very legit. I mean, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kenny Smith, Otis Thorpe, Vernon Maxwell, Mario Elie, Sam Cassell, Robert Horry...
Do u watch Basketball?
Do i have my history twisted?
It was the Knicks Spurs Series that was the Lockout season.
The Rockets Repeated. And yes that Houston team was awesome. Scott Brooks. My bad...
Due to the lockout, the pre-season was shortened to just two games instead of the normal eight, and some teams did not meet each other at all during the course of the 50-game regular season. To preserve games between teams in the same conference, much of the time missed was made up for by skipping well over half of the games played between teams in the opposite conference.

Rock was hollerin' to me about Dejuan Blair during NCAA tourney last year. Dude is a manimal.
I didn't know a ton about Blair in college, but watching him throughout the season the year before he went to the NBA, I thought he was a steal in the 2nd round. That whole Pitt team was fun to watch, real physical, tough team. There was a lot of negativity about Blair's ability to play in the NBA (mostly because of his knees), but he's been pretty good so far.

Before I tell you both to GTFOOHWTBS...
How many players in the NBA ARE a legit #1 option.
And who are they??
If you tell me there are only 4-5 I won't argue.
But if there are 10 or more and Dirk's not one, then GTFOOHWTBS.
i'd say about 5-6 legit #1 franchise players
Howard,Lebron,Kobe,Duncan,Carmelo,Wade
Dirk is a better Gasol....a better Pippen.... you can't build a championship team around Dirk....

Boston or San Antonio or Cleveland?
Cleveland and Boston.
If Dallas goes out right here, that is some
Same goes for the Lakers, if they lose tonight's game =
Wouldn't surprise me one bit....Pop schooled your boy Ricky so far....he needs to pull some magic out of his ass tonight.
All three.
I don't get Cuban's crusade against the refs. Yeah they suck, but is it really helping his team?

Sean Elliott can basically suck my balls. Crying about "cheap shots".
