Adelman is a very good coach. He has had success everywhere (except for those two years in Golden State).

He would do a lot to improve his rating by beating these Lakers, those Nuggets, and then those Cavaliers for the NBA title this year. Don't see it happening, but it would provoke conversations about his coaching ability. The success of these Rockets is all about Adelman's coaching.

Of all the teams still in it, I'd love to see the Rockets take it. If only to add another wrinkle in Bill Simmons' Ewing Tiki T-Mac Theory.

I wouldnt omit Ron Artest's influence on the teams defensive attitude.
I dont recall them having the same swagger when T-Mac was the "leader".

    Just sayin.

You're right to credit Artest, as well as McGrady's absence.

Artest is great defensively, but he can be kind of a basket case, which can have a disruptive influence on team chemistry. Adelman has been able to incorporate the defensive efforts without upsetting either Artest or the team chemistry. That's good coaching.

K-Mart got a $25,000 fine for a soft push on Dork?

    NBA officiating is comically bad.

Rondo trips Kirk Hinrich and punches Brad Miller in one game, then throws Kirk into a scorers table and practically nothing.

And they fine K-Mart for this?

The Rockets are all about Ron-Ron. Wish the Mavs woulda made a move for that dude.

Rock: That said, the MJ-lead Bulls kind of fucks your argument up and you're not giving that enough credit. I mean, six rings isn't exactly a statistically aberration!

Read my post again.....I gave MJ all the credit in the world.....he's "the great exception"

    Adelman isnt Artest's Professor X.

Artest has grown up to a degree, and w/ T-Mac out he gets to shoot more often which keeps him happy.

    LAKERS/ROCKETS IS FAR FROM "YAWN".

Props to Rafer Alston for wacking Eddie House upside the head.

    Fisher is still the man.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got suspended for that elbow. If he had made contact with Scola's head that could have done major damage.

It was more of a shove though. Either way, it seemed to have fired up the second unit.

Game 3 is gonna be intense.
