going to see them in Philly next week for the warm up vs Turkey. Watched vs Czech last night. Considering it was mainly the reserves, score line was probably fair. And getting 2 past Petr Cech was nice.
That said, defense needs a lot of work from what I saw, and unless the US tightens up, it may be a painful WC.

heath pearce was god awful last night--i'm really glad he was one of the cuts. wasn't impressed at all by the other cuts either-Bedoya, Johnson, Kljestan (although i've liked what i've seen at points in the past). Rogers had flashes of promise, but i don't think he could hang on the WC stage. i like Ching's play, but he never gets love from the head honchos. although i think Buddle & Gomez are better players, it might've been worthwhile to take Ching instead of one of them for that x-perience factor...
yeah defense last night was embarrassing. Onyewu needs to play MUCH better in the WC; he's going to be counted on.

i am hoping its just a headcase issue and that once he realizes (over the next 2 warm ups) that he won't re-injure his knee by just jumping, he will get back to playing more aggressive.
crouch and rooney are more than capable in scoring with their heads, so we need his presence in the box, and that 2nd goal he gifted last night was crap. no dude should be out jumping Gooch.
