And when you say things like "No way the Colts win by a score like that..." you are already admitting defeat, no matter how many capitalized if's or buts you got in there. Damn Gene almost disowning your team on opening day.
I have my own thoughts about how the game will go.
I have serious superstitions about karma, so no bold proclamations from over here. Quiet confidence.

I know man, I'm just trying to get this NFL thread popping a little bit.
And I appreciate quiet confidence, straight up trash talking is never fun when you are on the losing end, and everyone is at some point.
Part of it is, also...we're playing the Champs, in their house, like you noted. Should the Saints win, it will be hard fought. I have the utmost respect for Peyton.
So moving on then, how about a game closer to home for both of us, Giants vs Cowboys. Manning vs Romo shootout.
Giants 44 Cowboys 0

I AM FUCKING SAYIN!!!!!!!!!!!
And tonight is my blessed sister's birthday, but I told her I'd have to bounce from the birthday dinner at 8pm for the first day of the best 17 weeks of the year!
Even though I'm a Giants dude, the wife is from Indy so the Colts are my AFC team, sorry Saints but there is no hope for you once you step into the RCA Dome.
Colts 34 Saints 17
That's a bold prediction. I don't see the Colts defense, which is starting one DT who's only 270 lbs and one DT who is an undrafted free agent and two new cornerbacks and a new weakside linebacker and missing its nickel back are gonna slow down Drew Brees, Deuce McAllister, Reggie Bush, Marques Colston, Devery Henderson, David Patten and Eric Johnson.
No way the Colts win by a score like that. 3 points at most...IF they win.
HAHAHA!!! I know the Colts had the worst defense against the run last year, and they got a lot of new dudes on the squad. But that just means they have something to prove to the other teams, and what better way to prove it than holding NO's offense in the first nationally televised game. A lot of people are saying the Colts are contenders but not so seriously, I think they have something to prove. There's been a lot of Colts backlash the last two seasons, and even after winning a championship there is still a lot of "yeah so what" in the league. Watch the the new defense step up big. Tonight the Colts make a statement, a statement at the expense of the Saints.

So the Colts D is better this season just because you're hoping they are better?
So moving on then, how about a game closer to home for both of us, Giants vs Cowboys. Manning vs Romo shootout.

I wish (Cowboys hate related).
I think the Cowboys take that one at home. They're pretty solid this year. Totally not sold on the Jints other than I see B Jacobs scoring a grip of TDs.
So the Colts D is better this season just because you're hoping they are better?
Not tonight, cuz.
Saints 37 Colts 27
Nah cuz, last year was last year. And everybody is hoping they are better, what's a fan without hope. The D looks shakey on paper and in the preseason, but we all now paper and preseason aint shit. Tonight, you are walking into the RCA Dome and your offense won't know what hit them.

HAHA. OH MAN TONIGHT IS GOING TO END BADLY FOR YOU HOMIEDOG.

I have no such reservations. And despite the Moss developments since I made the following, I'm still going to stick with my preseason prediction:
I say the Pats will go 13-3, winning their first 6, then losing 2 of the next 4, leading local pundits to question whether Randy Moss is poisoning the clubhouse chemistry. They'll then whip off 4 wins in a row, quieting the critics, before an unlikely upset loss to Miami. After a week of being ripped on the radio talk shows, they'll come back in week 17 with a vengeance and steamroll the Giants 42-13.
Pats win the Super Bowl. Bank on it.
I'll even elaborate???those two mid-season losses will come to the Colts, and embarassingly, the Bills, in a tight game highlighted by uncharacteristic Brady interceptions and a big return for a touchdown in the kicking game that gives the Bills a third quarter lead they'll never relinquish. How's that for a detailed prediction?
I don't like Denver and I never will... I think Jay Cutler is really, really overrated.
i dont think cutler has played enough to even be considered "really really overrated" yet. dude has played like four games and won two of them (including a 9:5 td to int ratio. decent for a rookie). more importantly i cant wait to see how travis henry plays this year. barring any injuries i'm thinking he can run for close to 2000.
but yeah as long as this dude is not around im fine
Plummer is the most hated man in Denver. Poor bastard. You get yelled at for sporting shit with his name on it. It's kinda funny. And I also don't really see Cutler as overrated yet either, he hasn't really had THAT much hype, most of it being due to the fact that he was the other option to Plummer. In Broncos Fan world, that was the hype. I think he'll do alright this season, but to me, the Broncos look like they are kinda . Football, while I love it, is not my main sport though. I know we released Al Wilson. Darrent Williams died. Champ Bailey is still the shit. Rod Smith had surgery, not sure if he's going to even play anymore, picked up Dre Bly (expecting good things from him), picked up Travis Henry (should be nice along side young Bell), and that's about all I noticed this off season. What am I missing?
Jason David...for actually making me believe that someone could in fact be worse a cb than Fred Thomas...EAT A DICK
we coulda told yall about Jason David, he stays a half step behind. Most shook dude ever, watch, he gets shook.
I'm too lazy but if I had the resources I might even do a Jason David ankle broken highlight reel. Nah just kidding he's not that bad, cornerback is a rather thankless task
He's a good hitter though, wait no he isn't
Offense was like 'man that is just like how it used to be at practice'
Sean Payton...for abandoning your still-greatest offensive asset Deuce McAllister so early in the game...
Looks like Sean picked up where he left off last season....I'm convinced Big Benson is forcing dude to play Reggie so much...The entire coaching staff is to blame for what happened last night....The Colts were going to put up 30 just by stepping on the field but there is no excuse for that bullshit game plan Sean put together.
Reggie Bush...for every time you shuffled your feet instead of getting your skinny ass upfield...
Reggie can do everything but break tackles..His lower body needs more work. ....They really need to start running him off the Tackles ..Problem is.. Stinchcomb is slow and Brown is overrated imo
Drew Brees...not so much for your turnovers, but for being the slowest, most shiftless running qb in NFL history...
I'll give Drew a pass ...the play calling was awful and the O-Line played like shit....He looked real frustrated
Jason David...for actually making me believe that someone could in fact be worse a cb than Fred Thomas..
Some blame needs to be placed on those safeties too.

I reckon you'll see a similar result when YOUR squad takes the field on Sunday.
Never that.
