This isn't about being contrary, it's about being incorrect. You, sir, are the latter.
At what point did music criticism become an empirical science?
It's not; yet, one still has the ability to get it wrong.
"getting it wrong" >>>> boring opinions
Can anyone plz defend Reasonable Doubt in even a halfassed way. If we're gonna disagree, lets get some content involved. This "I'm right you're wrong" shit is childish.

It was pretty apparent that the Becky's of the day were into it...which is the prime requirement for many to declare a rap album a classic.
the first full jay-z album i listened to was black album
wow
Not trying to single you out, but damn man I find that strange since you ride hella hard for a lot of thugged out shit.I thought I had my backpack on pretty tight.
I remember buying reasonable doubt BITD and loved it. FEELIN IT IS MY SHIT! and that one remix with Mary J on it got plenty of kufi love in my wetmouth deejay gig days.
I love Vol. 3's intro and certain tracks on V3 have aged better than certain tracks on Reasonable Doubt but overall Reasonable Doubt is a much better, more cohesive album. Also, Jay doesn't even have the best verse on Vol. 3
1. I thought noz and jonny and faux etc etc always agreed on everything.
2. Arguing about Jay-Z is so 1999.
3. I know I'm not the only one that thought Tune and Toon were pronounced exactly the same way and is now wondering how you could possibly pronounce them differently.

Depends. If the song's really good, it's pronounced choon!

So are you saying you pronounce it 'tyoon'?? Cuz THAT would be amusing to me...

Your opinions don't particularly matter to me or to the rap buying public.
Sorry.
I do.
Local Black Experience Classic.
Your experience appears to conflict with Archaic's Local Becky Experience
JAY-Z REASONABLE DOUBT 09/18/96 ROC-A-FELLA/PRIORITY G
JAY-Z VOL. 3...LIFE AND TIMES OF S. CARTER 02/01/00 ROC-A-FELLA RECORDS M (2)
... and yet, there is vast consensus that the former is a classic, and the latter... a pretty good album.
i was not aware of this. my opinion has now changed based on public influence.
thanks for showing me the way jonny.
this is mad cornball.

That must be rewarding
I've been getting paid every day since I signed up for this website. And that's, as Hov would say, the shit I don't write.

Maybe not as rewarding as wasting company time at my own company, but yeah.
I call it "market research"
I'm looking for the guy with the soul patch that was spinning at Milk.
