You ever see those people who hand out cards with the American Sign Language alphabet on it usually its got a paper on it stating something like "I'm a deaf person trying to make money to at, please support me and buy this card for $3" or something like that? Well anyways one of these guys came into my old job and handed them out to everyone in the store and then came back around to collect money. He didn't respond to anyone when they spoke to him which I found weird (most deaf people I know interact with hearing folks by reading lips). He came up to me not expecting someone to bust out in fluent sign and when I did so the guy smiled and nodded. The thing is I didn't ask him a yes or no questoin. I then signed back "you're a fake, aren't you" he smiled some more. I put down the music in the store and let everyone know that this dude was hustler trying to insult everyone in the store by pretending to be deaf.
