Doc, I'm going to have to respectively disagree here. Anytime you use a sound recording without permission, in the United States, it's infrignement. There's no Fair use defense. I'm gathering that you are from England or around there, beca…

Sportscenter stat: Q: Since 2005, which NFL Conference has the best postseason record? A: NFC West, 9-5. Go Seahawks!

Everyone compromises their values to a degree to make a living. I don't see how this is any different. Honestly I'm surprised the term sell out is even used anymore with the current state of the music industry.

I haven't listened to it thouroughly, but my first impressions were positive. I'm curious what people dislike about it? From my perspective, I think it's cool that some prominent names are bringing attention to classic cuts most p…

It's not too late to alter your path. Though I'm not sure there is much of a market for an apprentice shoemaker... but if you're "creative" enough, I'm sure you can make it happen.

I don't think that was the point... And like anything, there are schmucks and respectable people in both fields.

Haha, all signs of a good teacher right there.

This is great, thanks for sharing Doc. The whole album is stellar, IMO. I think the lyrical themes are pretty on point and encapsulate the current state of the world. I'm happy to see this album doing so well on the charts.

Definitely. And like I said, I feel like college experience really prepped me for critical thinking during my career, even if I didn't know it at the time. Unfortunately, many of the students around me probably never caught those lessons. …

I think Big Stacks point is being taken slightly out-of-context here. I'm pretty sure that all he is trying to say is that a lot of kids is today's current academic world prefer to be spoonfed and aren't sure what to do if a different situation ar…

Yeah man, I agree with your point too. It's all wrapped up in bigger social/cultural issues, which ironically enough are fueled by media. And you're right, any potential changes over the next decade or so, whether a result of this movie or otherwi…

Haha, I think that's the point of the whole documentary - it's time to reevaluate. Sure it's getting a release by a major studio and will probably make someone a good chunk of money but fuck it, if that's what it takes to get dialogue going amongst…

I think budget constraints can be a pretty big challenge as well. It's definitely more complex than people might think at first.

What seems more plausible? A bunch of dudes, sitting around, trying to invent fake Twitter posts? Or a bunch of dudes, sitting around, reading the Twitter feed (or having Twitter feeds sent to them) and then reposting? The latter seems >>&…

I've definitely had drunken crazy random shit happen as well, but it just seems as if it's easier to make shit up than to actually document some crazy shit. I'm not saying everything on there fake, but the system seems easy to abuse. Generally wit…
