Heat has 3 of the 4 best players and 3 of the best 10 players.
It's gonna be a tough, hard fought and probably close series.
You rate Dallas's bench higher than I do. And Haslem is one of the best ten players in this series. I'd take him over anyone on Dallas's bench with the possible exception of Barea.*
It's a star-driven league, though, and Dallas only has one star.
Which announcer just referred to Jason Kidd as a "knock-down shooter"? That's like calling Spud Webb one of the best shot blockers of all time.
*Forgot Terry. But still, I'd put Haslem in the top ten.
Sorry, didn't see your addendum to your original post about Terry.
No problem.
If he's healthy, though, I probably would take a Haslem before a Terry if building a team. I think rebounders are harder to come by than one-dimensional guards.
Haslem has been injured for almost the entire year so I don't put him up there. I would go with Terry, Barea and Haywood over anyone on Miami's bench. So gotta disagree.

It doesn't count when two of those stars needed walkers to get on the court. So I'd say Wallace and Wallace and Billups more than made up for the only two actual Lakers stars that year. Ben Wallace was in the middle of his stretch as the best defensive player in the league. It's not like he was a Dampier. Billups and Rasheed were better than anyone on either of this year's teams outside of Dirk, Wade, and LeBron.
Looking at the Laker/Pistons rosters from that year makes me realize how spotty the two current finalists are by comparison. Yikes.
What an ugly game. Both teams under 40%. Something looks off on wade, way too many turnovers and not finishing at the rim. Super mario and terry though are the lone bright spots in an otherwise lackluster first half.
And yet you said you would take Haslem over anyone on the Mavs' bench even though he only played 13 games the entire season, and only avg. 19 mpg in the playoffs so far.

Yes, thanks for clarifying. I was not aware of that.
Also, the ball is round. Who knew?
If the Jet is Terry I already corrected it.
Terrible nickname.
No problem.

Jason Eugene Terry
And as bad as the Mavs are playing they should be down 20
I figured as much.
Is Kidd's full name Jason Earl Robert Kidd?
It's nice to be sharing this time with you while you watch your first NBA game.
You mean Jason "Knock Down Shooter" Kidd?
Batmon knows hoops...better than most here.
Yeah, that five man game thing really floored me. Like I said, I never knew that.
He must have seen "Hoosiers" or something. I've been watching the NBA for 40 years and I hadn't figured out that mystical stuff yet.
I'm gonna call up Mars Blackmon and see what he thinks.

Good half for the Mavs. Not shook. Gonna win tonight I think.
You left out the part where I said "if healthy."
Is anyone really impressed by either bench?
