That Rapidshare Cat

Is pissing me off!! Seriously... I'm 0 for 4 right now deciphering the stupid Captcha image. It was hard enough with just the squiggly letters, but not you gotta type which ones have f*cking cats in them!? If you don't know what I'm talking about, try downloading something off Rapidshare.

    Well they put the cat with some of the letters, and a dog with the others, but the damn cat and dog look kind of the same. And they keep reminding you that you wouldn't have to be dealing with this schitt if you would just pay up for a subskription, which makes you feel kind of bummy.

    Hot tip: the cat has a tail that goes straight up in the air, so memorize the tail and look for that instead of the face.

    What was crazy was when I went to do one the other day
    (no cats) and I could not figure out what the hell it
    said, so I clicked on the little "impaired" icon that
    is supposed to tell you the letters outloud ... instead
    of the letters, it had this crazed, trippy echoing loop
    going "the numbers are 1, 5, 7, 7, 3, 9, 6" "...6" "...6"

    I also have an account. I once wrote them after they blocked my account for 48hours after too much leeching (i shared it with a buddy who leeched over 25gigs of porn and shit in 5 days) if they can unlock it. They wrote me its not allowed to share an account.. WTF??

    that shit confused the hell of out of me when they switched it up with the cats. anyways i heard that they were being shutdown by a judge in germany soon....any news on that

    they're located in switzerland now afaik. Its a bit more in the "greyzone" here..the whole down/uploading thing..
    but they put fuckin taxes on portable media devices/mp3 players .. so an 16gb ipod touch costs roughly 850chf wich is like 800$

Its like i've logged in what other proof do you need that im not a computer? How well can computers read this shit anyway if i can't?

    They can read it surprisingly well because creating randomized systems that can still be read by humans is hard. This is one of the reasons why sites like MySpace have gone down hill with all of the spam. There are guys who create tens of thousands of MySpace accounts, add as many friends as possible, and then spam them with URLs with tracking codes... all automatically. .5% of the brilliant folks on MySpace will click on the link of a fake LV bag or iPhone and make the spammer anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars.

    I know a dude who made close to $200k spamming MySpace two years ago.

    Btw, i gotta say the amount of stuff I've downloaded, going premium on rapidshare is really really. You can set it up so links just straight download, never even see the site, I dont know if I could ever go back to the free shit with the time limits, and now they got you deciphering these cats and shit!?! fohwtbs.....

    okay...i dont see the point...its obvious they mean numbers too if you want to be technical then fine....youre only hurting yourself by not getting the download...what are you trying to prove
