stretching out the playoff schedule does not help teams with tons of momentum
how was the schedule stretched????????
Extra rest days leading up to the WS.
You are really reaching with this shit.
The ALCS ended on Sunday. World Series started on Wednesday.
I guess you could call that 1 "extra" day, because they would never start the WS the day after the ALCS ended. If you want to throw in the day off between games 5 & 6 when the series moved back to Boston and the Rockies had already swept, then fine.
But I still say you are being absurd. What if the Rockies had gone 7 games in the NLCS? You would have no beef. What if the Rockies had won game one of the World Series 13-1? Everyone would say the rest was to their advantage, which is what I was hearing alot on TV and the radio in the days leading up to the game, before the Sox put a hurt on them.
Face it - the Rox have scored 2 runs in 2 games. Blame the Rox, not Fox.

I'm saying, I'm a Rockeis fan and it's clear that the schedule wasn't stretched. We swept, Boston/Cleveland went 7. It's not rocket science. I'm barely a baseball fan and I figured that out.
I got the Rockies' back for this weekend though, I am not writing them off yet. We played a much better game yesterday and being at home is going to give us a lot of confidence. Plus, the absense of the DH should work in our favor. Who is Boston gonna sit? Ortiz? Lowell?
Francona said today he is going to play Ortiz. Even during the season, he rarely takes Ortiz out in blowouts, on the off chance the game goes to extra innings, and they need his bat. Tito REALLY like Papi in that lineup.
And, he said as much when he said he was going to keep him in- basically, the fear and feeling he brings to opposing teams in the heart of the order is worth any defensive sacrifice. And, I totally agree. Lowell and Youks are nice, but no one sits for the new Mr. Octubre.
Plus, being able to bring in Youks as a late inning Defensive replacement, is pretty hot.
The way this is going, I'm actually feeling a little bad for the Rockies. Game 3 should have been the one where they finally came alive and it looked good for them...but then they got smashed...by two rookies no less!
I am definitely enjoying the fact that the co-MVP's of the WS for the Red Sox through the first 3 games are both system-bred rookies. Takes the sting out of the "buying a championship" accusations ...

Get the broom out!
I was actually rooting for the rockies, even tho I'm a sox fan. They should get at least one dammit!
not showing up to accept his award and then announcing his decision to opt out of his yankee contract during what he surely knew was going to be the red sox's big night just goes to show what a punk a rod is.

And what if he ends up on the Sox roster next season?

nope its balki's lyrics:
im sinking in an ocean
of emotion..
emotion potion.
haha. if you can remember that then you too can laugh at crap if you want..
That was awesome.
I also agree that Fox needs to relax with the in game commercials, its annoying and embarrassing.
As an aside not specific to this year's playoffs, I don't like how the day is set even if all series finish in less than 5/7 games.

DAMN IT.
Oh well, nice job getting to the WS Rocks, but Boston was just too much for you. See you next year, bring out the NUGGETS!

Joe Buck and Tim McCarver have already decided that the game is over.
I'm a cancer survivor. My wife is a cancer survivor.
And so is the World Series MVP...And, the guy who won Game 4.
SHIT YEAH INDEED for the team that started the Jimmy Fund.
Or, may I say, FUCK YEAH.
All the college kids from Connecticut are rioting in Downtown Boston!
Lowell was amazing in this series.
I think he would have won it if he weren't a rookie.
i hope they can keep lowell.
And what if he ends up on the Sox roster next season?
