Even trading is iffy - I'm providing a service to the people that come to my store, and every time I send something off over the internet it undermines that service for people who want to come in and buy/trade in person.

We have one listening station, and I am perfectly willing to play shit on the house system as well.
Sorry, but I am not going to allow use of portables... that's what the listening station/house systems are for and there's no good way to allow folks to dig freely while keeping dudes from thrashing a $100 record on their fisher price. I'm open to suggestions though...
can you try to enforce a reasonable time limit at the listening station? Last time i was in NYC, cats at Sound Library were spending STOOpid time w/ the headphones- that's so annoying.
but yeah, this is really great... now i can get my records AND my giant robots on the same shopping trip
