Yeah, we'd like to do one, it's a question of finding the right partner (ANYONE INTERESTED DON'T BE SHY - we can get some special guest action too on the wheels). Bankrolling a night at a bar/lounge/club is probably not the best use of my promotional budget... but the store itself is gonna be a good jump-off spot, the atmosphere will be very chill with dark wood grain (grippin) bins and shelves, plants, park bench, books, and of course, RACKORDS...
I could come down for the Canada Day guest spin. It's only a 1 1/2 hour flight away.
You couldn't open a week earlier? (I was at Jammyland on Thursday, three blocks from your spot!)
Sidenote: Why not VG+ Records?
I KEED.
Nice looking spot, and that hood could use a store like yours. Sure, Dance Tracks stocks the new Kero One/King Most 12", but that's about it. Congrats.
we will have lots of local rap otherwise unavailable in NYC. From B-Legit to Beltway8.
Oh just what we need, more NYC industry-insider carpetbagging. Count me out. If I need my Arkansas rap needs met, I'll just go to Little Rock thank you very much.
Just you folls stay in biz at least til February - I'll be rolling through NYC then with no doubt. Best of luck with the store!
Nice one! Best thing I ever did was open a shop. We've been open since last September and there's more heat in here now than when we opened which is the true test. Good luck. I'll send some DC folks your way and will definitely pop in next time I'm in NYC. Remember: Buy low (not too low) and sell high (not too high). Peace, Neville
Big shout to the God Supreme/Dee Rock...another piece of the Good Records puzzle. Look out for the exclusive Mr. Supreme meets Good Records disco mix coming soon.

Who will be the Rubberman and Pooter of the NYC Good Records?
Congratulations!
I'm moving to Harlem the first week of August and I'll be sadly unemployed. So I'll make sure to stop by and check out the store!

All the best for you and your store.
I'll make sure to step by next time I'm in town.
And thanx again for that beer by the way!
best
Frank
Sounds like you may need some remote regional industry insiders to consult with over current rap 12"s .
Glad to see you making those REEL world moves, JP.
don't forget to make sure the space is retrofitted for money explosions

Whoah--I had no idea Kanye West had been so influential upon the youth of middle America!
Mean blazer? Check
Sweater over shoulders? Check
looks like some tape on the wall above his exibit, hmmmmmmmm
And congratulations on the store, Jonny.
Nobody is amused by your photoshop trickery--we all know that that's where his Electric Circus poster was.
but the big question is... which is more damaging to the young buck?
Do you say that because thats where you hung your Electric Circus poster?
