I sold my CD of Operation Doomsday (still have it on vinyl) for close to $100 nearly a year ago, around the time when a couple copies sold for over $400 on ebay and we were all standing around going What The Fuck, didn't I just see that in the store for $15? I've been checking the used CD sections ever since then trying to find more copies but with no luck. And it doesn't seem to make much difference if you have the Fondle 'Em pressing or the later more common one. They both sell for good money.

I bought a Jel record for $3.99 and sold it for almost $40. I wasn't mad. I love the backpacker raers because while I like some of them, I don't feel bad flipping them. I couldn'd get rid of my Doomsday LP or some of the MF Fondle 12"s I have though.

Both versions have been OOP and $$$ for years... if you've been passing on em you slept (I don't think Subverse has even been active for a longass time, which isn't a bad thing)

I definitely got through some lean months by hocking my Anticon stuff for a pretty penny, and I think I still have a few other Anticon things that I could probably get $40-$50 for. Which, come to think of it, I should probably do. The budget's gettin' kinda tight these days.

yeah, i think that's right, first pressings are on Fondle 'Em only, not Subverse... that's what cracks me up, people are getting like 50-60 bucks on Ebay for later pressings... i think the original fondle em version only went thru one pressing, cause i remember stores selling out of that record fairly quick, within a few months of it's release, it was gone, til they did the subverse pressing maybe about a year or so later... maybe longer...

i also remember seeing copies of the cd at best buy or whatever, then next year i see the cd's going for lik 80 bucks on amazon/ebay. weird. talk about a quick turnaround.
the doom isn't rare at all but people are still tripping over the original artwork getting banned. i'm pretty sure the cd won't be reissued too cos the sample police finally cracked down.
