    I was there.  Barring mad subsidies for car plants and such, there will never be industrial work in those towns again.  Until they stop setting the tanks on their own folk, it's cheaper to get it from China.  The end.  They will have to live where low-paid unskilled work allows them to have a standard of living above the one they have in the UK.  In the same way Eastern euromang came here since like forever.  My best mate at school, all his family were Lithuanians that came over in the 20s.  That kind of upheaval seems alien to Brits, but that is where it is.

    Like St*ve said, you'll never get a vote telling the truth.  But that is the elephant in the room - There is nothing we can do other than keep them ticking over on benefits subsidised by the financial services we have in Ye Olde Londonne town.  I really see no fix for this, the industrialists have the government in dey pockets.  Anyone that says things are going to get better for joblessman without taxing the rich more is lying.
