New (Old) Mix! Chef DJ - It's the Funky Phantom!
New Mix! Before the “clouds”, Soul Strut hosted exclusive DJ mixes spun with original vinyl (imagine that!). The “best of” can be found archived on our Soundcloud page. After a 3 year hiatus, I’m unearthing more from the vault including this disco / rap / funk / megamixxx uploaded by Chef DJ in 2010.

Good Records NYC Closing:
Here's the original thread of Jonny announcing the shop 14 years a go!

Time really does fly. It was a Soul Strut institution for a lot of years. A few people on here even worked there.
Best of luck in your future endeavors @Jonny_Paycheck

The Strut on Instagram (A 20th Anniversary Extravaganza)
I think it's a given that most people left on here follow me on Instagram or knows me on Facebook, but for those of you who don't....
The constructing of some new record shelves seen below and the joy of rediscovering my collection has inspired me to reboot the Soul Strut social media accounts. That coupled with Soul Strut turning 20 in October seemed like the perfect storm.
If you haven't already, follow me on Instagram for vinyl pr0n and Soul Strut (T.R.O.Y.):

Thanks!

Nice! I've been accumulating CDs like crazy lately and was looking to go this route.
