Yeah, I have also been keeping an eye on this album for quite a while now and the price of this copy seems very reasonable. One of the stand out tracks, "Negro en Sol Menor", is also available on a 7" by the way...

There is one on sale at Superflyrecords.

Wow!! thanks so much for letting us know about your uncle??s music, really nice! is it unreleased then? does he still keep the original tapes? IMO this deserves a proper release
-
Terrible version of the much nicer original by Renato Carosone that was indeed a huge hit back in the day...

Niiicee! And here??s another Chacho Brodas joint feat. my man Aqeel:

You??re actually right, its a different band from Chile called Fusion. The track "Dedos" (originally from Ruben Rada) is included in their album on Alba Records. Popsikable here: http://www.popsike.com/FUSION-top-soul-CHILE-LP-MEGA-RARE-combo-xingu…
-
I can??t remember the specific details but I??m pretty sure Fusion was a Ruben Rada related project (from Uruguay not Brazil btw). Here??s a live take of "Dedos"

"Thriller" by Spanish band Speak Low: http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF284947-01-01-02.mp3

It was awesome when I visited the shop, he had copies of every Brazilian raer I could think of: Mundo Racional, Marcia Maria, Azimuth 7"... IMO well above Ebay prices though...

There??s an original Spanish pressing of this too, sooo elusive though... I??ve never found a copy in the field so I picked my reissue a few years back. Its a great record.
-
I picked my copy of the WP reissue at ARC from the WP table. Thanks Amir & co for the big efford. I wonder how labels can make any profit out of reissues projects with limited pressings... In $$$ terms I do not think is worth it at all. Thanks …
