I listened to the itunes preview. I"m officially out of touch. I didn't get it. I don't like the euroman dance sound. I can't tell the difference between what's considered good and what's shitty rap these day. :(
I'm still stuck on why anyone though Auto-tuning Nina Simone over a RZA beat was a good move. I'm assuming Ye's to blame for that one if only b/c I can't believe RZA would do anything so ill-considered.

lol. I just looked on a wu tang site. The outrage over the auto tuning is rising quickly.
Only heard a stream of the standard edition of it so far as wasn't really remotely hyped for it. Have to say it's way better than expected - particularly the middle section starting with N*ggas in Paris. Best thing Jay-Z's been involved in in a long time. I also like the RZA track personally. Going to get it and listen to it in more detail today but a definite thumbs up from me.
Yeah, only got in a few cursory listens so far but find myself returning to that middle section. Just like the style -- big, poppy bombastic beats, a few classic samples, R&B choruses. If I had to make a conclusion, I would say that so far I still like My Dark Twisted Fantasy better, but not mad at this at all, including the Nina Simone auto-tuned -- god knows she didn't need it, and that's why it's OK.
My college roommate and friend is Kanye's exclusive engineer and did most of the recording for this album and his last, I can't help but just be proud as hell of him for this shit.
New Day might be my favorite track on WTT.....I love the vibe and the reflective nature of their lyrics . The auto tune does not bother me one bit. The album as a whole.....8.5/10
7/10. I love "New Day", "Murder To Excellence", "Church In The Wild" and "Primetime". The rest ranges from really good to really bad, but it leans more towards the former.

I wish synths would go away due to pop music 2011. 0 replay value all moody and shit.
happy to see frank ocean get some more shine, however
The rest was suck.

ive given up on these cats and im truely impressed by this shit.
You realize the first ten years of hip hop was dudes rapping over songs that had just recently come out, right?
