  • Dear AP, Just got laid off of my "career" job (good timing though) and I'm about to take out about a 70K-80K loan to get a Bachelors of Science degree in Entertainent Business and an Associates in Recording Arts at FullSail in Florida. Am I out of my freeking mind to drop all this loot on an education in such a non-lucrative business? I think I am insane to do this, but it's time to up the ante, and besides, being completely insane is kind of fun. Not to mention that student loans are meant to never be paid off (or so I've been coaxed to believe).

semi-rhetorical because this lad will be registering soon, regardless. but your thoughts would be appreciated.

    peas.

go for it dude... your education may be applied in real world moves or it may not. it makes no difference. doing this will further your skills and understanding of the world. i cannot tell you how much having an arts degree has made me better at all the things i do. talk about " worthless " degrees... HA HA... Masters of Fine Arts... give me a break. the best thing that happened in 9 years of education was meeting people who are inportant to me, developing rigor and learning to communicate. better to have massive student loans that to not have the experience.

  • Am I doing enough exercise to lose weight? I play badminton for 2 hours solid every Sunday. Is this enough as I dont seem to be losing any weight. I started the regular badminton 3 weeks ago but it doesnt seem to be having an effect!

  • Anthony,

An econo-bredren said you're a lightweight with the twiddle stick. Can you help me decrease my tolerance so I can smoke less?

    OK, very good question.

The first thing you have to do is throw away your bong.

Heavy toking off the bong is out of fashion.
    Good luck,

Ahem!! is it a do as i say not as i do situation.

Associates in Recording Arts at FullSail in Florida.

As a Fullsail grad (who actually "made it") I think you are out of your mind. Much better ways to spend that $$$$$. Like equipment and a few DIY books. You do not need to spend 3 months learning an SSL/Neve/Amek. IMO there is 95% chance you will never touch one again. Plus the "Acedemic" courses are a FUCKING joke. I do not need a recent grad teaching me how to write a resume and what to say on a job interview. Plus w/ the 120+ students they graduate a month out of the audio program you'll even have trouble finding a decent internship in a studio getting coffee. Don't let those advisors and gear get you big-eyed.

If you have any questions PM me.

    Good Luck.

I appreciate your feedback on this mayne.

This is the way I see it. After all is said and done, I am walking away with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Entertainment business and a Associates in Rec. Arts. In the chance that I'm not able to sustain my living through the recording industry (which is high, and I know this), at least I would have 1. Upped my knowledge on overall sound synthesis and audio engineering, work with a good amount of the industry standard tools and network with heads that are like minded in production and music. 2. Most importantly, I'll have attained a Bachelors of Science. Whatever, that shit gets you in doors nine times out of ten over anyone without a degree even in fields not pertinent to your major.

I've done the DIY approach for the past 7 years now with production and have been playing instruments close to 20 years now and have learned a shit load from multiple platform audio programs. But like I said at first, tt's time to up the ante so to speak. There are so many things that you can learn from engineers and word of mouth, but for me personally, I think it's time to get a little more structured on the learning and schoolin tip.

In whatever way I look at it, to finish up my bachelors, it's going to cost around 50K to get it complete, so I figure why not spend another 20k and go the fuller route at a specialized multimedia school.

    We'll see though....thanks for the words y'all.

hahahahaha! Ya'll are GEEKIN'! lil' beady eyes...

While at the moment I don't own a bong but a bubbler nonetheless, I maintain that it is possible to take light rips of the light green outdoor (most preferential) you mention without harshing your mellow.

Anthony, there's this girl who wants to intern but she's hot and flirtatious (with me) and that's a bad business scenario. Should I sleep with her and then say, "sorry now I can't employ you" or the other way around???

no... just have her in the shop as an intern. it's good for business and the sexual tension is better than sleeping with her anyway. [/b]

Um... seriously. I had never seen that photo until about an hour ago. Sorry, hopefully this doesn't harm your image as an internet celebrity

nah my celeb status is non-existant. I treasure my lo-profile status. Although I hear I got a buzz amongst fans in certain NY record stores where they rate internet personas and how jokey they are.

    Can you confirm?

The one in red, with whom Paycheck is currently having a hairstyle-related spat, is Guzzle. I believe grandpa shig is closest to the camera.

    dear ap.

    great advice so far.

here is a situation for you.

one day i was invited along with two other friends to visit a friends house where we would be listening to rackords and enjoying fine herbs. our gracious host sat on the floor while we were invited to sit on the couch. our host also kept his shoes off and even then he kept his feet off the rug. is it bad form to wear shoes in a house where the host takes their shoes off? should we have tried harder to keep our feet off of the rug? is it safe to rest on tradition and only bring an 1/8 to the party or should we have picked up more on the way? what is the proper rotation for a rackord and fine herb party? i know you have said in previous columns to ditch the bong and go for the twindle, but i'm going to as a few more questions related to bongs. i have been noticing some new trends in group bong smoking, both "party" and personal bowls. in a rackord / fine herb party situation which do you find is the correct method? does the guest pack the first one, or wait for the host to pack one as to not step out of line? who should take the first rip? the host? the driver (if all the guests carpooled)? the first guest there? the last guest there?

    thanks for the tips.

rackord and fine herb party re-creation

  • any of the above forementioned is suitable.

    Dear Anthony,

Recently I have acquired a girlfriend who I have proceded to have a sexual relationship with. I was a virgin until I met her, although I was and currently am an avid fan of Internet pornography.

So here's the thing: every time we have sex, it just never ends well. I mean we don't do anything exceptional, just sex like regular people, but she always gets upset with me. She's a virgin too, so I think we're on the same level.

Anyway, things usually go well for the first 10 minutes or so. You know, she nibbles the knob a little bit, and I give the little man in the boat a tongue bath. That's fine. It's when we start getting into it where the problem arises.

I mean, she's always complaining. For instance, every time I get ready to cum and then bust a nut all over her face she has a problem with it. I tell her that's how everyone does it (I've seen it) but she always complains about how nasty it is and that it stings her eyes. I think she's crazy.

Sometimes I like to be spontaneous. For instance, I told her I had a big surprise but I had to blindfold her first. She reluctantly consented and I proceded to bang her doggy style. She seemed to like this, so I figured if she liked a human's doggy style she would really like the real thing. So I quickly jacked off our german shepard a little bit and let him mount up. She seemed a little confused when the fur started rubbing on her ass and wanted to know what I had on. It was then that the dog started his low grunting and she yanked off the blindfold. Then she started screaming and locked herself in the closet. I'm still not sure what that was all about.

Another time I convinced her to "toss my salad". Once again she was reluctant but as she has professed her undying love for me she agreed. I really enjoyed it, but after 15 minutes she said she didn't feel well and ran to the bathroom. After about 40 minutes of simultaneously shitting and puking, she screamed something about "e. coli" and seemed really pissed. I said her getting "e. coli" was impossible because I had just shit out everything I could like 10 minutes before she started going down on my ass. Somehow she still thinks it's my fault.

Anyway, she says she's sick of my bizarre "sexual fetishes" and if I don't quit it she's going to leave me. I love her, but I think she's really naive. I mean, this is what people who love each other do - I know, I've seen it a million times on those Internet porn sites.

Anyway, should I try to live with her insanity or should I dump her because she's crazy? I just don't think I can live with a nun.

    Thanks,

    Grafwritah
