Hamburg would be nicer for record stores perhaps, but I think its not the right place for a huge group to gather (also fear my local store prices ). I have no idea where to put all you ppl plus there isnt too much places apart from "the alster" where we could gather and I bet we'd loose half the group if we raided the reeperbahn

If you want to go k??lsch all the way you better have a Sauerbraten vom Pferd or Himmel und ??d. A trip to an original Brauhaus should be part of the excursion for sure.

The best thing is fixing a date and kep the people updated. I can put together a list of Cologne record stores worth checking. Nothing special or secret but there are a few spots worth checking.
1st day: 1) BBQ at noon at the Rheinufer in Cologne 2) hitting a bar (or rented premises) to sit down and talk and drink some beer in the evening 3) going to a club (or stay at our rented premises) for a party with a Soulstrut DJ or several Soulstrut DJs at night (don't know if that's possible in Cologne - the attending non-Soulstrut crowd, entrance fee and lease costs will be a big issue, unless Discodiamant can hook us up)
2nd day: our own record convention (with a little help by Scope and Defcon) in the morning (meaning at noon)
Plus: Hook-ups and digging trips (to be set up idividually)
WE WOULD NEED TO SHARE ANY COSTS. Anyone against that?
Disco Diamant have their night on the first and third friday each month at the Subway. If you want to connect the meeting with a club night you should kep that in mind. Also keep in mind that you are in the City of Can aka Rainy City. That means August is the best month to plan a bbq but most clubs are closed because everybod is on holiday.
