I need this in my life.
Cosign. I've been a Sirius subscriber for almost two years now (two receivers). Adding Howard is the icing on the cake.
working on sundays and sirius football package got me thru. As far as the music goes. I'd still rather listen to my own stuff.
side sidenote:
Bob Dylan is gonna be a DJ on XM!
lord sear's drunk mix.
tony touch tuesdays.
cipha sounds and angela yi morning show.
buttload of older soul joint channels.
rude jude and sear's afternoon show.
that afromentals show (extra-head wrap stylee).
i've never been this excited about radio.
it's game over once stern comes over.
i never want to get out of the car.
does anyone know if these shows above are availabel to Canadian subscribers as well?? It mentions nothing on the Sirius website, nor does it mention Stern. Also, do we have acess to anything beyond the regular oldies Soul station? Can my Canadian heads drop any knowledge about this? Much appreciated.
I just put down a purchase to buy 130 shares of this bitch! $7.50 limit each! XM is priced at $30 a share. Don't see why Sirius couldn't match it soon.
I'm missing something in this, why did you put a 7.50 limit on a stock that is trading at 7.17? Do you mean you put a sell order at 7.50 after you bought them? I'm confused.
I can't speak to the hip hop shows (I'd be surprised if they weren't available, but I know Howard Stern isn't... The only way you can get his show is if you purchase a US built system or order programming through the US or something... I've heard a bunch of customers in Canada have to do something a bit differently to make it happen...
Well worth it though...
SHOO SHOO RETARDED FLU!!!

I don't know much about trading stocks. This is what my pops recommended. The theory, I believe, being that eTrade will purchase 130 shares of it for me so long as it's priced below $7.50. If it goes above $7.50 it kills the deal. Mainly because there's too much to lose at that price. You want to get a good deal.
I actually got my shares at $6.87. I'm thinking I'm going to sell off 65 shares and buy 1 share of Google. Sirius has a 3 million subscriber goal that they're supposed to meet at the end of the year. If they meet it I'm sure the stock will jump.
I'm learning as I go along.
And they're dropping Ghost's "Kilos" on the Hip Hop Nation station right now!
i would say the opposite...if you are planning on holding onto sirius for a while, you could make some serious cash down the road if people end up adopting satellite radio like they did cable tv. i own this stock and, while i think there is a lot of potential, i am a little nervous that Apple might soon jump into the game by coming out with an Ipod that is built in your car and can receive podcasts via wireless internet. then it might be
the guys I talk to all say - "there is something coming, and its going to make Sirius and XM obsolete." but they wont ever tell me what it is. I'm not allowed on that level of the game yet.
These guys work for Apple?
Soulstrut insider trading? We'll all be trading in our SL1200's for solid gold iPods soon enough.
no they dont work for apple, they're just players. guys in the know. ear-to-the-steet.
God, I hope you're not investing based on this fountain of info.
XM and Sirius are both estimated to each have 20 million subscibers in five years
I've heard rumors that a redesign of the mac mini, to include a tivo-like feature will be coming soon. with and integrated ipod dock this thing could be sweet.
I think Apple has HUGE plans for the "entertainment" market... M$ been trying this for a while, but they never had a handle on hardware like Apple does.
I'm amazed that Apple stock has been rising so consistently - I mean, doesn't everyone already have an ipod?... I can see it going even higher though - especially once the new intel-based powerbooks/ibooks come out.
However, I don't understand that that many people will pay for sattelite radio...
