I'm getting both XM and Sirius for Christmas. Turns out there's some Audiovox units that are on clearance so I got one for both services free after rebate. And, since my parents have both XM and Sirius I can add on my radios in a "family plan" for only $6.95/month for each service. Sounds like a deal to me.
I don't really know as far as the music programming on one versus the other, but honestly I'm getting satellite more for the talk radio/news channels, and because of the sports they carry. XM is a must for me since I'm a baseball fan, but I'm also an NFL fan so Sirius has that.
