hey folkers! so i remembered that joint in west portal. its called nodo's and its owned by the same folks that own katana-ya [right below ucsf]. great fucken ramen by the way.
if you go to do re mi. make sure you go kinda early if you go on a weekend cuz my peoples like to crowd that place and you cant make reservations unless youre part of the "special friends club". no really. they have a membership that allows you to make reservations. weekend rates are always higher than weekdays so keep that in mind. there is also a thai karaoke joint above jtown dennys but there are some serious chinese/thai/viet/cambodian/mien/lao/pinoy gangstazzz in that spot. so really, 8 white boys and a kingmoist showing up at this spot might get kinda dicey. hell, i dont even go there cuz i think they only have canto pop and dance versions of soft rock like that titanic celine dion joint. but the girlies are cute and they have a disco ball and mirrors and shit.
Well, I just got invited on a pub crawl with some co workers for Saturday afternoon so I'll be nice and toasty at karaoke time. When would a shindig like this start?
I just called Do Re Mi. They have one 12-person room available for Saturday night. $50/hour for the room, but if more than 12 people show up, it's an extra $5 a person per hour.
Should I reserve it/How many of y'all are actually showing up?
