Liking your hometown team makes sense, local coverage, chance to go to games.
Liking the team you grew up with makes sense.
Liking the winningest teams in each sport is lame.

But teams have to earn and deserve their fans.
Blazers are still winning me back from their shameful Jail Blazers years.

Being a fan of a team in 2015 is like marriage....some folks stick it out 40-50 years...some get divorced 6-7 times.

I almost arbitrarily chose an NFL team to root for. Wanted to pick a relatively blue-collar town/underdog. Chose Detroit and bought a hoodie. I chose Detroit (not Green Bay or Indy) knowing that Stafford is not all that, but whatever. Sure made, watching the playoffs against the Cowboys that much more exciting. Fuck the Cowboys and Niners while we're at it.

I divorced the Cleveland Browns and became a fan of the team I hated the most, the Cowboys, when I came home from work one day to find out my wife was now employed by them.

So does she have any Super Bowl rings?

Media and my friend agree, Portland has some great fans. Wish LA was like that.

We have rich apathetic people, and then the idiots that chant "MVP MVP" when the team is trying to make a comeback and Kobe is 8-23 for the night.

You like the dick don't you?

You do an awful lot of talking for someone that doesn't watch games closely, so with regards to the Warriors, I am taking their side when the old guys try to ruin the party. I've been to Oakland, have you? Way better than talking gibberish on the internet.

You create a new low every season. Are you really serious?

This is awfully little-picture of you, Batmon. Can you put Yuichi's trolling into a broader context that extends beyond just this year?

^^^^^ Then obvi you know nothing about Indiana's rich hoops history.

That said, Indiana has limited offerings aside from the b-ball.

    Nothing but net.

And there are NBA starters who can't hit free throws.

Arent those carnival nets a little low for an NBA comparison?

Yes, I am saying that carnival nets, balls, play are exactly like NBA.
And I am willing to argue that point for 6 pages.

    Bow down son. Bow down.

My assessment is usually on point. Take notes.

Some obvious facts (take notes Batmon):

The speed at which Lebron turns around a franchise is unheard of. He makes his teammates better. Do not nitpick and get into a stupid ass debate about this. There is none.

Doc misses KG, anchoring a defense.

Doc is trippin'. Blake was looking like the second coming of Karl Malone on the block, when he was getting good low post position last year. Same with D'Andre. What the fuck happened? Now J.J. Redick is like the number two option. Seriously, what the fuck.

    Josh Smith = SIGNIFICANT!!

Leave it up to the squares to come up with ONE stupid new element to the dunk contest. This year it was the tablets!

Zach Levine's first dunk was Vince-esque.......shut down. I lost my shit on that one.

    Rest In Peace Jerome Kersey.

I used to rock him on Lakers vs Celtics & Bulls vs Blazers on Sega Genesis.

Dude was a strong small forward that had the Lunch Pail Game. Diving for loose balls, grabbing rebounds, and doing all the dirty work. He had upps too and had a good dunk contest entry.

Thomas Robinson, Will Barton, Victor Claver are all nice players. Robinson and Barton will both be impact players in coming seasons.

    OKC made a come up.

Augustine, Novak and Kanter to fortify their bench.

Def one of the OGs. Classic era. Too bad I wasn't paying closer attention. Rest in peace.

Jerome was 52, blood clot after minor surgery.
Terry Porter and Clyde were both crying when interviewed by the media.

So much focus on star players.
He was a guy who made a big positive impact in the community over years, working for charities, the team, young players, and school kids.
