These are some hella recent dollar bins, flea markets, and store pick ups. So far this year I have rarely found what i've been looking for but nearly always have found something interesting.
Mark Eric is Cali-Cool -Jock-folk with a beach boys tinged Bacharach thing going on.
While dwelling on the magnificence of Big Bear Doin' Thangs I stumbled across this strange bear-themed folk boner.
Musical Mystical Bear: "Spirituality in Music- a moving blend of jazz, folk-rock, Mozart and meaningful lyrics that express the joys, hopes, and sorrows of living a free life in contemporary America."
Private press Stanley Jordan is pretty chill, nothing mind blowing or bear themed here.
Anne and Dick Albin is very enjoyable folk, i'm diggin the label art as well...
Ylvisaker has it's moments but stands on the shallow end of the Acid Archives gene pool.
I am really happy with this Cannonball Adderley/Axelrod thing, it's a very solid LP
Nat Adderley LP is awesome and features Jeremy Steig and Joe Henderson. To me it seems to be in the same vein as Max Roach members don't git weary soul jazz-ish.
this is the 3rd time ive run into this, previously ive gotten rid of it pretty quickly, this time though ima give it a proper listen, and yeah it does sound a little better than i seem to recall..

electrode...hows that Lorez Alexandria? any funky numbers?
I'll record it for you. It is great from beginning to the end. Do you need a lossless rip or will a high quality mp3 do it?
thanks!
