Never saw that Al Green Album before, pretty good mix of unreleased and 45 tracks.
how you like milt mathews? i never got into his records much
whatup with spacemen 3? i see people liking that, but i knoweth not
Spacemen 3 is on some 80 s psychedelic Almost shoe gaze. When they broke up one of the dudes formed Spiritualuzed (90'scollegedrugsrelated)
Another I grabbed was a personal grail, "The Album That Makes Love to You", 3 years ago I heard it at a record store and the owner refused to sell it. I snapped photos of the cover and tried to do research but with no artist listed I didn't get far.
Think sleazy 70's porn beats with a girl doing a step by step breakdown of getting fusked.
Im a huge Yura Yura Teikoku fan (-- avatar), but this is very different from their stuff.
I just picked up the 45 from this album two days ago. It's starting to get pricey already:
For those in the US who are interested, Klaus on Waxidermy wrote:
I won't bore all you all with pictures of endless Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, Pink Floyd, but I will say for every Beatles record the guy collected he also bought a John Denver or Joan Baez.
I also got a 45 collection from mostly 1965-66. A lot of garage rock, a lot NW, and some soul.
I have scanned a few, but there are lots more.
Shoot, I thought I had more scans. There are also Rocky and the Riddlers, Bootmen, Zu Zu Blues Band, Tropics, The Celtics and Attila and the Huns. I'll try to do more scans soon.
for trade:
-eddie kendricks
-marcia meyer (i think waxi considers this a "boner"- whatever that means)
-soulful strings
-charles kynard
-lonnie liston smith
-phil upchurch
-gator ost
-ellen mcillwaine
-soul searchers
-soft machine 5
-t motion and group
-artists jazz ensemble (electric free form noise/jazz from visual arts collective in t.o.)
-most if not all of the french prog and psych ish
ps- can anyone give me a read on that "flower power" exploito record that is credited to some obviously fictional group called the okey pokey pokey band and singers?. has listenable version of pink floyd's "see emily play"..is it worth anything to anybody?
end of last month...
I'll buy it if you're selling, been wanting a copy. I collect those exploito recs.
make me some reasonable trade offer via pm's and we'll work it out.
btw- that "detectives" budget record has lots of blaxploitation heat on it, great tracklisiting. i rank it up there with 'cop show themes".

I found this Saturday. The lp is called "Music of My Birth" and I don't think it's too rare. The intro and chorus are begging to be sampled.
