    jaundice is not sexy!

  • Man. You guys covered a lot of the ones I thought of. Didn't think I saw this though, which is for some reason the first one to come to mind.

Grimes: "It's a contest for school children!"

Carl: "Yeah, and Homer beat their asses!"

  • Also Homer to moldy sandwich "I can never stay mad at you."

  • BreezBreez 1,706 Posts
Marge - "Bart, how'd you get a cell phone?"
Bart - "The same way you got me. By mistake, on a golf course."

"Two more feet, and I can fit it in the fridge."

That's a top five episode for me, hands down.

We could easily hit 20 pages just recalling awesome quotes, but what are the top 10 best Simspons episodes ever. Some are just wall-to-wall killers. Like the episode where Lisa goes on a date with Ralph, or the Cape Fear parody when Sideshow Bob keeps stpping on the rakes.

    1. Homer vs. The Eighteenth Amendment
    2. Sideshow Bob Roberts
    3. Trash Of The Titans
    4. Homer's Enemy
    5. Mountain Of Madness
    6. Maximum Homerdrive
    7. Brother's Little Helper
    8. C.E. Doh
    9. Das Bus
    10. The Great Money Caper

The one with Homer's barbershop quartet. All the Beatles' references were genius. Oh, and the X-Files parody. It's really too many to name, IMO.

I can't find it, but the last shot of the Lisa and Nelson episode where Milhouse leaps into the air with joy (at the possibility of her dating just about anyone next) with his dog on a leash is a favourite.

There's no way I can pick a top 10, though I agree with "Homer vs. the Eighteenth Amendment" taking the top slot, so I'll just throw out 10 more classics:

    "Marge vs. the Monorail"
    "Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk"
The one where Mr. Burns opens a casino (the plotline of Mr. Burns becoming Howard Hughes is amazing)
    "Homer the Vigilante"
    "Cape Feare"
    "A Star Is Burns"
    "Homie the Clown"
    "A Fish Called Selma"
The one where Homer trips balls on the insanity peppers.
    The tomacco episode

Best subplot: "Lisa's Rival," where Homer has the sugar pile.
Best "Treehouse of Horror" segment: The one where Kang and Kodos become Clinton and Dole. Absolutely flawless.

I think this might the funniest shit ever put on TV, every line/bit is a classic.

"Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos" might be my favorite political sentence ever.

  • Was always a big fan of the ..goes to New York and ..goes to Japan episodes.

Street Vendor: "I have mountain dew or crab juice"

Homer: "eeeeeww!!! I'll take the crab juice"

From the "Double, Double, Boy in Trouble" episode:
Bart / Simon's half sister: "I wanted a Range Rover, not a Land Rover. This is the worst Martin Luther King day ever!"

    Stay cromulent

It turns out that if you stitch together all the little over-the-top McBain movie clips shown in several seasons' worth of Simpsons episodes, they form a coherent mini-feature -- a little Easter egg planted by the fun-lovin' Simpsons writing staff!

Featuring one of my two favorite Simpsons toasts of all time, "To Human Misery", which is just edged out by Mr. Black's "Gentlemen, to Evil." toast from the Camp Krusty episode. And of course, also my #1 seduction line???no human female can resist "Right now I am thinking about holding another meeting...in bed!"

My favorite Simpsons seduction line, spoken by Grandpa Abe Simpson to a Vegas hooker:

"How about giving old Honest Abe another term in the oval office?"

    Do fantasy segments count?
Marge: You certainly have a lot of bowling trophies.
Jacques: Ha ha, [whispered] I like you so much. They're not for bowling Marge. You're so naive, They're for lovemaking!

I love that he says, "Oh, thank god" and falls asleep when she declines his offer.

I put Homer's "Everybody Hates Flanders" song on the mix I just finished off. It really is a catchy tune ("Flanders tried to wreck my song/His views on birth control are wrong"), but David Byrne's Latin remix sounds like it's fire as well. "No nos gusta Flanders/Y su nombre estupido"
