I'm sitting in EWR, delayed en route to the DEN-TEN game, and it is a really interesting matchup. TEN defense has given up a lot of Red Zone drives, but is AWESOME on Red Zone Defense & scoring D.
Denver was 0-4 in the Red Zone last weekend, blew two 4th Downs...
Orton is playing out of his mind right now- and hell, going back to last year even, he's pretty good. But, the Titans have given up- TOTAL- 171 pass yds at home this season in 2 games.
Bring it. Let's go.

My picks this week against the spread:
Broncos @ Titans -6.5
Denver has no running game to speak of. The Titans handled the Giants quite well on the road last week. They should fare just as well or better against the Broncos at home.
Bengals -3 @ Browns
The Bengals played like crap last week and still covered the spread by over a touchdown. The Browns played above their heads last week against the Ravens and I don't expect that to repeat against the Bengals.
Panthers +13.5 @ Saints
That Panthers always play the Saints tough and teams that are good running up the middle make New Orleans fans cringe. I still expect the Saints, even with Bush out and both Pierre and Brees banged up, to win, but I expect the Panthers to cover.
Patriots @ Dolphins +1
Monday night home underdogs ain't no joke. Brandon Marshall is going to have a field day. THis game will likely be a high scoring affair, but I'm thinking Miami pulls it out in the end.
one of the more insane player-related incidents (what they don't mention is that the chick was a 19 yr old jags cheerleader):
Kassim Osgood: Jacksonville Jaguars Wide-Receiver Pistol Whipped Monday Night
By James Walker (Featured Columnist) on September 29, 2010 0
This has been a bad week for the members of the Jacksonville Jaguars. First, the Philadelphia Eagles whipped them Sunday afternoon, and now special teams specialist Kassim Osgood was pistol-whipped Monday night.
Osgood, along with his 19-year-old girlfriend, was allegedly attacked by her ex-boyfriend, Julian Armand Bartletto. Bartletto, 20, has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery, false imprisonment, armed robbery, burglary, and violation of an injunction after the confrontation.
Gunfire purportedly was exchanged between the woman and Armand after Osgood leaped from a second-floor window. Prior to the gunfight, Armand had his gun pointed at her head, and Osgood was again pistol-whipped.
Osgood, who signed this past offseason in free agency, suffered minor bruises, head coach Jack Del Rio reported.
Can things get any worse for the Jacksonville Jaguars?
Thankfully Osgood was not seriously injured, but this is just another distraction plaguing the team as of late. Two humiliating defeats in a row, a new quarterback, Trent Edwards, being signed off waivers today, and now the attack on Osgood cannot help Del Rio and the team prepare for this week's game against their intra-conference rival the Indianapolis Colts.
Purportedly, during the attack, Armand said, "What did that football player say to his girlfriend, it's a good day to die," in reference to former Florida wide receiver Chris Rainey. It has not been reported that Rainey was the inspiration to Armand's attack.
Dolphins over Patriots, I hope this game is very entertaining. Pats defense is kind of weak right now. Also can a Pats fan talk to me about Aaron Hernandez? Edpowers, this being your favorite matchup all year, please wax poetic about it.
Miami's secondary is crap......not a good thing since it's a passing league now *Phill
....................
Common sense says New England is going to pass Miami off the field. If Mark Sanchez can blah blah blah.....Mia/Ne series always ends in a split (much like everything in the AFC EAST) and it's hard to imagine Miami loses 2 division games in a row at home.....New England is almost no threat on the ground, while Miami should be able to move the ball at will.
I expect a close game.......close games are decided by special teams....both special teams suck
ehhhhhhhhhhh..................Miami 23 .....New England 20
Eagles over Redskins, Phill Most, emotionally, where are you with this game? Who will get boo'd the hardest?
Of course I ride with the Birds and the dog killer, but I am almost pulling for Donovan to shock the world and score an upset on Sunday (he won't). I am to the point of being appalled at the level of dislike the dudes on these talk radio shows still have for McNabb here in Philly. They are actually assembling the morons who booed McNabb on draft day to come to the game and do it again on Sunday. I just don't get what that's all about. Yeah, he never gave us a Super Bowl win and he has his flaws, but he's a good quarterback and more importantly he's a real good dude. He doesn't deserve the schitt these talk radio a-holes seem to love to sling at him.
But anyway... Eagles 31, Deadskins 13. UGLY. (b/w FYI for those who give a damn- it was ALWAYS Andy Reid's plan for Vick to be his quarterback, from the day they brought him into Philly... if anyone doubts that and if I have time to type it all out I can prove this :real_headz: )
Miami's secondary is crap......not a good thing since it's a passing league now *Phill
I hear you... only thing I question is how it can be a passing league when there are so few quality passers. man, if I was coaching most of these teams with the jokers they're putting behind center i'd rather take my chances with a run run run punt offense and just try to score on defensive turnovers and special teams.
Tough game, neither side played that well. I'll take the W.
Bottom line is we need Big Ben back. Our offense is lack luster other wise. I mean.... Batch to Randle El for a TD today. This is is not 2003.
If I were you I would be feeling much better about the future than I would. Flacco makes way too many big mistakes. That INT was just awful. Not having Ray Rice hurt some though.

Though the Steelers' endgame was WTF-riffic today, I'm not all that mad at 3-1 without Ben.

I missed this, Phill we are all down to read your conspiracy theory. How will Reid get rid of Kolb now? Pay Patrick Willis under the table to take him out in the first on a nationally televised game? Is Jeff Garcia behind all this madness? Shit is always entertaining in Philly, rumors abound.
White_tea, after week 4, is this year crazy enough for you?
I wish we still had that :hammered: graemlin.
This paragraph from the Chicago Tribune columnist pretty much spells it:
After one of the nine sacks of Jay Cutler in the first half of the Bears' 17-3 loss to the Giants on Sunday night, Cutler slowly got up and started walking toward the wrong sideline.
Bears defense had a fairly solid game and kept the offense, theoretically speaking, "in" the game until practically the end. I was told they have an offensive line but I don't think anyone saw it last night.
Bradshaw looks solid -- some very crafty moves and super quick. Other than that, not a lot on the Giants that looked too threatening -- aside from the best defense ever, if those first-half stats can be believed. Your guy's punter can punt but shouldn't do anything else. Looks like the NFC East is wide open, huh.
Yeah that was a weird game. The Giants have talent, but they are a total hot and cold team. Once they get going and if they click, they're good, but I don't expect too many repeat performances of last night. Bears play calling was also pretty bad.
And I was reffering to the league in general. Colts getting taken down by the Jags. Lions, Niners, and Panthers almost pulling upsets. The Cleveland game, the Denver game, Houston, all pretty wild.

No doubt. I was visiting my parents and they had NFL Red Zone and a good three-quarter of the games were decided within two to three points.
I was really pumped for the Niners -- that's a tough one to swallow.

Sparano/Parcells was a nice transition from the Cam Cameron/Nick Saban eras but it's time for these dudes to shake the spot.....The Parcells way of football is played out and Sparano has tiny balls....I fear the team may quit on these fools.

With McCoy down, I think the Skins are trying to get revenge for the Body Bag game.
Lots of last minute finishes so far.
