It matters to quite a few people, actually. (Drake at least.) I'm
willing to bet a lot of those people hold him
in the same or similar regard that we held Nas. Not saying the comparison is warranted, I'm just sayin'...

More like Kris Kross.
That's exactly right.
I was just telling somebody that the nearest precedents for a wholly industry-created rap star are kiddie rappers.
Presumably Bow Wow was important to the millions of people that bought his early records, but let's not confuse that with making actual important music.
aaaaaaaaaand...that's why Talib is no longer relevant.

I'm indifferent towards this dude on the whole. He doesn't have quite the same piss-boiling effect upon me as he does on some of our number, but if he's the answer to anything, then it's to a question I'm not asking.
On the other hand, looking at how so many people are riding hard for him right now ("What, really? You too..?"), it strikes me that a lot of those people may have been walking around for a long, long time with vast, Drake-shaped holes in their lives that only one man can fill.
All this aside, good luck to anyone who's selling records in this day and age. Even if, in this case, "selling records" means "some dude from Crooks and Castles buying up the local Best Buy's entire stock of your album".
As a fellow talentless hack who has distracted a certain segment of the public from the quality of his music by hoodwinking them into thinking that he is an "artist," Kweli has a vested interest in seeing Drake succeed.
(I can't front, I did the same thing when my dude's first major label album came out. Granted, I bought three Best Buy's worth and it was still just a fraction of the amount in this video, but still!)
I wish they would do that here in B-More. Then I wouldn't have to see it.
Why does calling a waaaaambulance have to mean you're "riding" for the guy? Sometimes you just need a stretcher to handle the weight of all the blahblahblah!

I don't know man you and I have been on this site long enough, IMO when someone goes usually it implies that they disagree with the prevailing opinion.
Besides I'm just needling my good friend Cosmo a bit (yes pasue) no need to manufacture e-beef between us (double pasue!)

The cipher is pathetically complete.
