b, 21The Travolta thing got me thinking - is there any other actor around who has made as many god awful movies who's still considered a big box office draw? Apart from Nicholas Cage?

I liked the shootout scenes in Exiled but as a whole the movie bored me.

Yeah, "The MIssion" isn't deep or even that complicated but it executes its premise very, very well and has one of the best "shoot outs in a mall" sequences I've seen img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" 21b, 21b, 21Besides, Anthony Wong = img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hard2.gif" alt="" 21

font class="post"1b, 21b, 21I remember hearing To's "All About Ah-Long" being spoken of well, but I can't remember if I liked it, which might be telling. He also did a couple movies with Stephen Chow that were popular. I was really surprised at the turn-out for the Sparrow. There was easily more than 400 people at the N American premier. I didn't know Johnnie To was so popular. I haven't seen Fulltime Killer or Mad Detective, but I want to. I have to co-sign Anthony Wong. Untold Story was frickin' wacked out.

  • mannybolonemannybolone Los Angeles, CA 15,025 Posts
"Fulltime Killer" is pretty awesome too. Another made-for-American-audiences remake possibility.b, 21b, 21The thing is, part of what makes To's films so good is the core cast he has around him. I mean, those dudes are just I>watchable/i1, especially Anthony Wong, Simon Lam and especially motherfuckin' Lam Suet.
