Who wants a piece of me? Come get me bitches. Happy Friday you degenerates. Take that Donnie Walsh and stick it up your Baron Davis. Don't make me come swatting you on the fastbreak like AK47. I will whip you in the face with Sasha Vujacic's ponytail and then bust a three in yo eye. I will reject yo child's play (no chucky) fanhood like Dikembe. If you want to know more about championship basketball, come to los angeles and you can smell the smog, you candy ass.

Fresh off SportsCenter, Stephen A. Smith LOVES these moves for the Knicks. Says they'll free up so much money by 2010, that it'll give them enough to offer TWO max contracts, meaning that a LeBron could be teaming up with Wade, Bosh, or Amare, etc. (who is reportedly not happy right now in Phoenix).

b, 21b, 21I was watching their game briefly yesterday. The fans are actually really enthusiastic. They cheer on every play. They're great. The only problem is like any other small market, there won't be many stars that will wanna stay there long, which basically means they will suck from '08 til infinity...b, 21b, 21In recent memory, Hubie Brown-led Grizzlies were one of the few successful expansion teams...more than likely owners of new teams don't really know what to do with personnel. I mean, Mayo's probably gonna want to leave in a couple years....although he's from Virginia so maybe he likes that region. And I'd be damn surprised if Chris Bosh stays in Toronto. Yaoming?

b, 21b, 21b, 21 Oklahoma newspaper article about fans booing the team for the first time./a1b, 21b, 21
Quote:h, 21b, 21"For two full seasons while hosting the displaced Hornets, local NBA fans never booed the home team.b, 21b, 21With the Los Angeles Clippers in the midst of a 42-12 run that required less than 12 minutes, Thunder fans broke their silence when coach P.J. Carlesimo called for a timeout.b, 21b, 21There were more groans than boos, but undeniably, there were boos.b, 21b, 21Philly fans boo Santa Claus, but Oklahoma City pro basketball fans don???t boo anything that???s theirs.b, 21b, 21Until Wednesday."b, 21b, 21h, 21
b, 21b, 21Small market teams definitely have it rough, but if they can put a competitive team on the floor then they do fine. There is no reason to think that the Oklahoma team will do any better financially that they did in Seattle unless they can become competitive. When the Sonics were a playoff team they didn't have financial issues, but when they were mismanaged into becoming a lottery team they suddenly "couldn't be financially competitive" because of their building. Hogwash! They couldn't be financially competitive because it wasn't fun to watch them suck.b, 21If the current management can't make the team successful on the court, then the franchise will probably be moving again in four years.

  • As for the Knicks, trading for Tim Thomas is basically telling the fans that you are not planning to win this year. Harrington, on the other hand, might be a nice addition.
