go giants! remember, the broncos beat 3 teams in the playoffs that they previously lost to in the regular season to win super bowl xxxii. as long as eli doesn't turn the ball over anything is possible!
Phillip Rivers merely gets to share the Jackass of the Day award. Brandon Jacobs, come on down. Your touchdown "celebration" was one of the dumbest things ever.
Sorry Rock. Jerrah's face at the end said it all. Brutal. I think the Giants' D-line swung it in the end. Cowboys O-line closed the game quite poorly. Romo ran for his life. The throw to Crayton on the long third down was a thing of beauty (check the sick release point) and dude dropped it (karmic, maybe). Still, I was sure the Cowboys had it in the bag when they got the ball back at the end. Thought it was Romo-legend-building time. The Favre-esque scoop and all. Giants gutted that bitch out.
Is it even a minus if LdT doens't play? Burner and Sproles are nice.
the end of that Green Bay game felt like I was watching old clips of the 1960's that they show in documentaries, with the snow coming down.
That was awesome -- they had to switch to field-level cameras because visibility was so poor on the press box level.
Great games pretty much all around. From an objective standpoint (the Bears, my fave, started getting their groove back too late), it looked good all around. The Colts-Chargers game was probably my favorite. Hopefully San Diego still got some left in the tank for next week.
I missed most of the Packers game at work, looking forward to watching NFL Replay!
... and on a highly disturbing note, months ago I agreed to go with my Dad to the opera way off in the future. The future is now - and the opera? It starts on Sunday, January 20 at 3:00 PM ... the same exact starting time as the AFC Championship.

Brutal! Is your pops not a Pats fan?
Just remember....It ain't over til the Fat Lady sings!!
Watching P. Rivers get into it with the Indy crowd was like baaad WWE (oxy-moron). I'm cheering for the Bolts, though. It would be sweet revenge after last year's match up, plus I think Antonio Cromartyball is the shit.

He would watch the game if he was home, but he's more of an opera fan than a Pats fan ... I've got 5+ days to dig out the VCR, dust it off, and re-learn how to program it again ...

Yikes! Good luck not hearing the result before you get home. Hell, you'll probably hear updates whispered in the theatre.
Gotta go w/ the boring picks: Pats/Pack. One upset would be tasty. Two would be delicious but also result in a lame-ass Super Bowl. I expect the better teams to win.
Go[/b] (Insert here anydamnone that beats the Pats)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/b]
Rockadelic, it's been nice having you in the NFL thread this season. Sorry about the Cowboys' early demise, and we look forward to seeing your contributions next season.

PREDICTION: Pats vs. Giants in the Superbowl
NICE.
UNC lost to Maryland yesterday and Hillary won in Nevada, so I'm looking to go 3-0 this weekend.
I stupidly made dinner reservations last week for 6:30 tonight, though--hope my absence won't affect the outcome of the Giants game.
I have been wrong all year... so I hope by finally choosing the Patriots, they will lose.
