The fact that the Indians invited one of his ex-girlfriends to sing the Nat'l Anthem is frickin' hilarious.

I'm hoping they can track down one of Schilling's exes for Saturday night. Like dude needs any more motivation.

Josh Beckett is the best Frickin' pitcher in the American League. MLB?

    Gimme Johan Santana plaese

  • It's the curse of the Yankees--our management sucks. I'd love to see the Yankees sign Joe Girardi as manager but I don't think the Steinbrenners like him. They'll probably promote Mattingly. I got mixed feelings about this because Mattingly is one of my favorite players of all time but I don't think he's the right choice.

Thanks for the kind words Sox fans. You know I love you guys! I probably check bostondirtdogs.com more than you.

oh, no, I just wanted to talk about Mexican beer

  • J.D. Drew earned his paycheck with one swing and all is forgiven. Time for Dice-K to do the same. His 7.71 ERA in the playoffs is not a good sign though.

  • Think i'm gonna switch to straight vodka about now...

  • Now, to beer. But, I got two on that last trip to the fridge.

    Nice shot, DP.

  • looks like a wrap. but things can always change quickly

  • top of the order

  • gettin' interesting...

  • just a swing away

    SERIOUSLY.

From 1-3...to closing this out with two 10+ run games. CRAZY.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR DROPS TRIBE

    Close, biatch. And, lovin' it.

And, if you, Mr. Modelo, can tell me you didn't need a drink for innings 2-8, well then...I doff my cap to you, sir.

  • And, as they just noted...3 days rest for the pen, and Beckett will start game 1.

Hope Coco is ok...ouch...tough way to win.

    But, way to go.

I love that they played "This Is Why I'm Hot" on the field for David Ortiz.

  • Ok. So, on the topic of this comeback.

While it is nothing AT ALL to sneeze at, I feel like coming back from 3-1 is entirely different from 3-0.

If you are having to comeback from 3-1, you gotta win game 5-7. Based on how these series are scheduled, you've got your ace going in game 5, giving you good odds in that one.

Then, if you beat their ace (admittedly, a task) you are down 3-2. And, in the case of this team, you know you're getting to go home, meaning you basecally have to win 1 at home to simply force a game 7, making it an-anything-goes-all-hands-on-deck deciding game. In this case, it worked out, but it took some breaks, and a complete meltdown from the CLE bullpen.

3-0 was something different entirely. You've gotta win with your worst starter, and then roll that into the last few games, meaning you have to play error free baseball for 4 straight.

3-1 is a hell of a comeback. But, 3-0 is the definition of NEXTLEVEL, imo.
