A lot of my faves have already been mentioned. Add:

  • I like the Fleischer cartoons a lot. Popeye and Betty Boop.

I agree about this one. Perfect stuff to waste your afternoon with:

I like much of US cartoons and Italian stuff like La Linea but actually, Czech cartoons are killing it for me. There's so much of it, incredible stuff.

Bromwell High - the best UK cartoon I have ever seen, and it JUST STARTED on ABC in Australia. Headz, check it.

"I iz tolerant like a muphucka"

  • So, so many to choose from.

But off the top we got...

Kimba (Jungle Emperor Leo) early anime

Cute as a button one minute then realer than real the next.

Animals and people get killed in a 60's cartoon for kids. Never saw anything like it at the time.

    Ralph Bakshi's Spider-Man?

and let's not even take it to Bakshi's version of Mighty Mouse.

Tom & Jerry purists hate the dozen or so shorts that far out Czech cartoonist Gene Deitch made in the 60's, but for me they represent some of the most bugged out & bizarre examples of animation ever made.

    Again,

By far the most underrated character in the Warner Bros. cannon, created and exclusively handled by the most underrated animation director at Warners, Robert McKimson...

and Home Movies on the more recent tip...

They used to show La Linea shorts during The Great Space Coaster.
I use to be like, "HUH????!!!"

  • The 3D version of La linea in that new Jamiroquai clip is okay too.

Foghorn leghorn is the best! He takes it as much as he dishes it. I wish the same could be said for bugs bunny. Oh yea I was a big fan of speed racer and marine boy. Ultraman was the shit but not a cartoon.

  • Simpsons (more like religion..)
    Samurai Jack
    Futurama
    the Critic
    All Studio Ghibli movies
    Full Metal Alchemist

Also my latest fave is japanese cartoon Yakitate ja-pan, awesome stuff

anyone remember the cartoon "PROSTARS" which featured crime-fighting cartoon versions of Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretsky and Bo Jackson? their weapons were their respective sports equipment.

    shit was definately

the only (semi) recent cartoon i ever got into aside from the more "adult" cartoons today (family guy, southpark and shit) would have to be

i have alot of those episodes on tape, shit was epic as hell with the crazy miniseries'
