Bump. What other little known funk/soul 45's have people discovered recently? I just posted this super heavy psych funk jammer to youtube, it's not really dancefloor friendly, but wait until about 1:30 when it really goes full https://youtu.be/SY…

I haven't heard all of the above mentioned stuff, but I always thought this was criminally underrated as a slow jam, definitely channeling Otis on this one. Needs a 7" pressing or some vinyl format.

I saw him live a little over a year ago and I thought it was fucking fantastic. Can't recommend it enough if you are a Pharoah fan.

This is great reading, thanks Rock

it's probably worth noting that if you listen to the words there is an obvious lyrical reference to the Shirley Ellis song on this one.

I sed gawdammm! By the time I got the PL70 email about this, $#!+ was already sold out! That's impressive. I hope I get to at least see one in person someday! Nice looking box! :holygrail:

I'm generally a Bushmill's guy and I love an occasional Basil Hayden, but in my neck of the woods no one has a conversation about whiskey without singing the righteous praises of this stuff. If you haven't tried it I whole heartedly recom…

Anyone holding doubles? I'm looking to buy, hit me up on the PM. Thanks.

Another marvin pontiac record would be great, but this time press it on vinyl!!! Much respect mr. Lurie. Love a lot of your work. How's painting?

Highest respect. Donald Byrd had the kind of career and longevity and foresight that most musician's can only imagine. In my house his records have gone on and off the shelf with the kind of frequency given to very few others. Keep moving on Dona…

In some ways the cee-lo and lauryn joints kind of disrupt the flow of the album, but they are still songs worthy of adding to common's repertoire. I think the album is a beast, i've always loved it. invocation is definitely a helluva opener. A Ca…

Not my saddest song, but one that definitely takes me back a bit. Reppin' home too.

I realize you are probably looking for shorter segments and such, but here is a bunch of random bits from advertising and spoken word lp's I had laying around. Feel free to use whatever. I can get you a wav of certain parts if need be. The 2nd ha…

tripledouble said:technically the black belt jones is a first press since it wasnt pressed up before. Sure enough. I thought maybe there was an OG japanese pressing for some reason rather than just the 45.

Some finds that are probably about a month old. Trip to Portland, OR. Special thanks to LaserWolf for being a super nice guy and hooking up some of these goodies. Always good to meet strutters in real life. Black Belt Jones and H…

PUTS rekkids are great, but really OST or Stepfather should show up much closer to #1 if you're going to include this one. Either way, good to see PUTS represented (backpack (wetarded term) love or not).

I did claims for a shipping business for a number of years and a very large number of claims with UPS. Here's what you got to do. Contact the shipper ASAP. Typically the shipper is the one that must go through with the claim process (at least it …

I don't post much in find threads, but today is a little different. These are from the last couple of weeks. Local store finds, thrifts, etc. And today I found this for $1.00 at a local thrift among crappy christian and christmas record…

Anyone here tried this rye? It's made in Iowa and has been the talk of real whiskey drinkers around these parts for a couple of years. Extremely hard to get your hands on a bottle here.
