The US press of this rarely turns up, nice cop. You see the French p/s way more on eBay.

I started one but it's daunting since it spans so many years and so many releases. 1955 forward.

Btw, I got your e-mail a while back asking about early Tico albums. I don't have many recommendations but you should check out Pete Terrace Pete With A Latin Beat from 1958. It's not as raw as that Alfredito LP but it's a solid listen.

  • Found a copy of Eddie Billups Shake Off That Dream (Garpax version) at an antique spot today on my lunch break!

Which was awesome because I was salty about one going for next to nothing on ebay the other week (Agent 45 I'm looking at you)

Ha, I was the second bidder on this. I thought that was pretty cheap price for it, I haven't seen it on ebay in a year at least, unless I missed it. I thought it might go for Hit The Bongo type money, thought if I could cop a cheap double of it that it might make good trade bait in the future. Nice score! I'd be pretty excited to see a Tico 45 discog as well...

I've been upgrading my system so I haven't been buying a lot this month.

Here are some 45s I picked up from eBay and other internet sources recently:

Classic Indiana funk. Flipside is a great sweet / group side.

Rare Detroit / Ohio gospel dancer.

    Classic deep soul.

    Another funk dancer.

And some LPs I picked up two days ago here in Mexico City:

I saw a copy of that Audio Obstacle Course record at my nearby thrift store yesterday evening. Because I couldn't listen to it I passed on it and picked up a few other ones. What does it sound like?!

  • Picked up the Cos's "Bunion Bradford Funeral & Marching Band" LP as well. The joint with "Martin's Funeral" and Hybish, Shybish". A hell of an album to say the least.

Finally scored a copy of this

I remember this being one of the first records Soulstrut introduced me to, and I've been after it ever since (about 8 years). Such a great record.

Did you find it for cheap or did it set you back a bit?
