This thread, and the group of people who regularly post in it, has come together over a fairly long period of time and I would hope that if/when someone wants to gloat or laugh about something that may be offensive, we've spent enough time 'together' to know it's just good natured banter. You just simply haven't earned that privilege yet (and I don't mean that in some bullshit elitist way, it's just the way it is).
Otherwise it could all to easily turn into the clusterfuck that are all too many of the football related boards. And this thread is about much more than football, so I wouldn't want it to degenerate down those lines.
well that sucked for me. took off work to meet an 'old friend' and all that too.
sad to say that most of the press will hate on the Arsenal defense as that is the easy target, but the inability to have a few opportunities on goal is really what did us in today.
I can live with fluke goals from time to time (good header by Park, but he gets that maybe 1 out of 25 times if he tries again), but i can't live with the likes of Arshavin/Nasri/RvP/Chamahk having almost no real shots on goal.

Lovin' the Park hate. He was United's player of the month prior to this match (and a recent addition to my Fantasy team crucially). Unfortunately he's off to the Asian Cup for like 7 matches after Xmas which could be a problem, I guess there's Obertan's massive head to fill in for him and Valencia back soonish.

Disappointing game. The only good thing to come out of it from an Arsenal point of view, was Wojciech proving once again he's going to be a great goalkeeper.
Man U did well. Soaked up pressure, looked to hit on the break, although most of the time it merely took a long ball down the middle to fluster our CBs who were much more comfortable snuffing out attacks along the deck.

I preferred to put my weight behind David Ngog and Ryan Babel, who's never really been given a proper chance at centre-forward at the club. And in the meantime we have chance to do thorough scouting so that if the money is available, we could look into the situation again. He had two training sessions and played on Thursday night and he played again on Sunday so it is very early for me to make very strong judgments about where his best position is. The work we do on the training field will show me how best to use him. He actually went out wide right late in the United game and did okay there also. All I can say is he has a lot of qualities and I'm sure we'll get a lot of use out of him.

These players have to accept responsibility. I accept responsibility for changing a lot of players in the team, I did it because I honestly thought the players I put on the field were good enough to win the game and they weren't. The obvious conclusion to that was I shouldn't have changed that many players but we should have been strong enough to get a result. We must all take our responsibility. I am just bitterly disappointed that the team I had so much faith in did not repay that faith this evening with the exception of one or two performances.

The protest does not help but it is something I have had to live with since I came to the club. I, like everyone else at Liverpool, would be very happy if the ownership situation was clarified and in particular if we got a very good owner that could help us move forward.
