I got some nice "finds" lately - admittedly a few eBay/set sale things in here along with stuff from local stores and trades:
Splurged online for the Blossom Toes and Mindbenders, although Blossom Toes was a great price, really kind of a steal since "VG+" ended up being NM- except for one inaudible scuff. The Mindbenders was a total white whale for me, one of the greatest post-beat albums and totally hard to find, never released in the US and even in the UK doesn't seem all that common. Such a great album, includes the original version of Rod Argent's "I Want Her She Wants Me" recorded a year before the Zombies did it themselves on Odessey & Oracle.
These first 2 45's came from the thrift down my block. a stone miracle to find decent garage there!
haha yes that is a Peggy Lee 45, got it the same day at that thrift and it is a version of my favorite Tim Hardin song.
In fact, the flip is "Misty Roses" too, so how could I not drop the 50 cents?

Stayed in Brooklyn (Williamsburg) which was great.
Managed to get to quite a few shops, all of the Williamsburg ones, those on the Lower East side, one private dealer and a couple of other random shops in the Greenwich Village area and two thrifts.
Took a load of trades with me so didn't end up spending much money at all. Traded with Johnny at Good Records, Jared at Big City Records and the guys over at Acadamy in Brooklyn.

this one has to be the best record ive heard yet on the spanish label movie play, sounds like arthur verocai in places, or some brazilian fusion prog madness, very dope.. its all in spanish so not sure whats the deal here, from the title, the nuclear explosion cover and the music, it looks and sounds like another concept thingy, maybe its about humans and their self destruction...?

Stoked to see a JAM 45, immediately think it will be Frog' and mentally prepare to flip for hella cash.
Hopes crushed fairly immediately upon closer inspection. Buy it anyway.
Rinked 'Superfly' in this box, never seen before at a booter. Pass on that.
Later remorse at not picking up the Magic Fly LP

A meagre score:
Always pick these up for pennies if mint. The best Undertones 45, Style Council classic,
edgy Pigbag punk funk, and delighted to put an unplayed 'Afternoon Delight' in the bag.
A small but significant pleasure.
Never pass these up. Part of our heritage.
No idea why I bought Japan, it's tedious. Minty EBTG debut in immaculate embossed cover - a no-brainer
Wouldn't normally touch this SOD trilogy but was egged on by the recent Boy George docudrama.
Horrible 80s landfill proto-arena rock.
Never turn this away, son.
Very topical now, being used as a World Cup TV theme I noticed recently.
Track called Focus, but pictured in finest Kala-vision.
It's called irony, people.
A couple of budget lounge LPs on Contour, didn't look promising but I'm a sucker for these.
One on the left contains a great cover of 'Fragment of Fear'.
Full on trippy acid lounge w/ sweeping dark moody ill drama strings.
Research indicates it to be [del]bootlegged[/del] comped on Dusty Fingers.
Storming versions of Captain Scarlett and UFO on the other. Rad.
been pretty pleased with these recent pick ups. got some 'essentials' that i can cross off the list, plus some stuff for a new mix that I'm SLOWLY putting together. plus, i finally bucked up and bought a new camera so i should be able to contribute to these threads in the future...
