the new Jack O and the Tennessee Tearjerkers LP...great songs, great perfromances, shitty recording...damn shame he went to Compression Science, I mean Rocket Science Audio to make his new LP...shittiest engineers in town.

Yeah, but keep in mind, you live in Memphis. No good studio folk in Memphis, I hear. Not much of a music town.
I've been revisiting this a lot lately--great record...

Hey,
I've just listened to:
-"Womanly Way"-Linda Tillery. -"Variety is the Spice of Life"-Greg Perry. -"BMF Beautiful"-Leon Haywood. -"Why Not Start All Over Again?"-The Counts. -"Fantasy"-Sunbear. -"Love the Feeling"-Leroy Hutson.
It's the month of May, and usually this time of year I find myself listening to a lot of blues discs. I listen to blues anyway, but seeing as how summer where I live usually kicks off with the Chicago Blues Festival (I'll be DJing there this year!), this kind of music generally puts me in a summertime state of mind. Here's what I've been listening to, all on CD:
- Cedell Davis, The Horror Of It All - Lightnin' Slim, Rooster Blues/Lightnin' Slim's Bell Ringer - Pee Wee Crayton, Things I Used To Do (which is on the box right now)

Luna was the soundtrack to me falling in love with my wife; they were her favorite.
Such a solid f***ing record. One of my top five local Oakland LPs, no question.
