    you sound unemployed

i actually landed a job today so technically no but the last month and a half has been one long, smoky weekend. sort of glad its coming to an end, spending too much time and money on records when i should be making bank and hitting the books. thanks for the reality czech there...

    Okay, that's just weird.

You're obviously using your usual "fake backdrop" technique -
but your fake backdrop is a hardwood floor, just the type of
background I always assume you use the fake one to conceal in
    the first place.

    Ha!

they're mysteriously hovering over the hardwood floor.

I'm just glad he didn't bevel them or rock a lens flare.

Ha! Gotta mix it up and keep it fresh. They are all my new finds though. That's the only thing "real" in there. Kind of like a visual list.

I'd say your stereotypical Finnish record fair seller with long, thin grey hair, a flannel shirt and/or a leather vest would easily ask you to pay ???100+ for that record. Or more.

I would like to see them floating on a cloud from now on.

That Mike Kirkland title track would be so much better if it didn't have the crazy chick wailing in it. Nice find though.

Ran into a fellow digger and came up with squat today. I know this guy has been getting records for forever and today he let me into his "overstock!!!!!" Dude was totally righteous. I gotta tell you it makes me feel good to run to music lovers who have the same view about music as me. Chase Side Shoot Up by Brian Bennett sounds heavy, Skel.... though I can't emagine what it does to a golfer's game.

what is it about cats and records?

these are the ones Cedric was keeping warm, though Nilovic's hot enuff without the attention.

    Two of the highlights:

Super stoked that the MJ portable actually works!

  • here's some recent stuff:

DYNASTIE CRISIS (scored their first LP for under ??12 on ebay, and very pleased i am aswell.... classic French prog from members of Triangle and Martin Circus or something...a great and varied listen. with a lovely cover)
V/A - "circles in sound" (easy charity shop stuff ith soem fun beatles covers and a funkay version of "fever")
SILVER APPLES - "the garden" (thought i should have picked this up by now -- mental version of 'popcorn' on here)
BON IVER (bought this as a preent for someone but thay already had it, so i guess i'm stuck with it. its a lovely listen, better than i thought, what with all the crappy hype about it..)
    HAIR (one i didnt have)
HALL & OATES - "war babies" ( produced by Rundgren and wouldnt sound out of place on his 'something/anything' LP

    plus some 45's:

ENNIO MORRICONE - "my name is nobody" (thanks to wickerman for hooking me up - a brilliant tune and the theme to recent ultra-uncomfortable comedy "nighty night")
CARRIAGE COMPANY - "in your room" (again, thanks to jens.... love this song. scorchign guitar parts)
LIFE - "cats eyes" (strange moog/synth slightly glammy rubbish that i like)
WHITE DENIM - "shake shake shake" (amazing b-boy garage-jam tune,m b-side is a non-album track that has some tasty sitar action on)
MR ALBERT SHOW - "kings of galaxy" (love this tune - can be heard in my latest mix - great double sider with wonky horn section and driving beat)
THE MOB - "give it to me" (fun moddy horn rock sound. i get bored of it pretty quickly when i put it on though...)
PROF MORRISONS LOLLIPOP - "you got the love" (brilliant tune - havent had a chance to play it out yet)
MOTT THE HOOPLE - "all the young dudes"
    THE SWEET - "co-co"
MANFRED MANN - "fox on the run"
    ALICE COOPER - "hello hurray"
    BUGGLES - "clean, clean"
THE SCAFFOLD - "ide b the first"
plus the new RAMP RECORDINS record that i designed the labels for:
COMPUTER JAY - "distance" - analouge synth action. great track!!
