    1. "Here Comes the Water Now" - Tom Brosseau (Loveless)
(We saw Brosseau a few nights ago. He sang this after telling a story of how he survived the Grand Rapids flood, seeing all his neighbors standing outside their houses with piles and piles of their belongings (trash) on the street. He's such a weird dude. Effeminate enough to make you wonder if he's pervy, but his thoughtful and well-spoken comments make you feel guilty for having such thoughts. When he plays, it looks like he forgets the crowd is there, and he'll stop for a second, or rearrange a song on the spot, but just when you think he's lost in his own world his eye catches someone and he smiles or winks, then you start to wonder about the perve thing again. It's cyclic. When he got to the first chorus, I had the same sad tingle I experienced watching Katrina flood the southern states. Beautiful record.)

    6. "Mosquito Botticelli" - UT (Blast First)

    8. "We Don't Hate Vegetarians, We Just Think They're Funny" - Rapeman (Touch & Go)
    9. "Tom Araya Is Our Elvis" - Zu (Xeng)
    10. "God Damn The Sun" - Swans (Young Gods)

    Ghostface -- Tooken Back

Just got the air album, kinda interested to hear that. I know this list might seem a bit feathery, but I'm ok with that...I've been in that sort of a mood.

Does that mean that we sound white (even though Kele is black), rockist, or even worse, British?

    2. Black Milk - Sound the Alarm (Fat Beats)

On a related note, I just checked this clip of Sean Price in his crib:

    http://www.sohh.com/film/channel/sohh-tv...bctid=483267978

Towards the end, he mentions an upcoming collab between him, Guilty Simpson (who's featured on "Sound The Alarm") and Black Milk.

Sean P on some B.Milk beats - yes please.

    ---

I'm feeling (in no particular order):

    Rusty Waters - "Illumination"[/b]
    Theo Parrish related. Just beautiful.

    Xhol Caravan - "All Green"[/b]
Soft Machine-ey kraut jazzrock from the "Electrip" LP.

    Prodigy - "Gun Love"[/b]
What is that sample? I know I know it, but I just can't place it.

Funk Inc. "They Trying To Get Me"[/b]
No, it's not all about the "fonk" tracks or that Marvin paraphrase on "Chicken Lickin".

    Don Sugarcane Harris "Midnight Walk"[/b]
I've been playing this on repeat lately. I like Sugarcane and his funky blues thing.

    Timothy Wilson "Baby Baby, Please"[/b]
    Sweeeeet.

    C.V. J??rgensen "P?? En Fortovsrestuarant"[/b]
Mellow singer-songwriter goodness from my home country that I'd been overlooking until recently.

    Owuso & Hannibal "Upstairs/Downstairs"[/b]
More DK flavor. Nice piece of 80s influenced soul with more than a hint of Prince.

    Wayne Shorter "Montezuma"[/b]
From "Moto Grosso Feio". Underrated LP.

    Alice Coltrane "Sivaya"[/b]
    R.I.P.
