are you talking about the young kid in Fort Collins, Colorado originally from Minnesota I think? Used to go by DJ Ammo until Ammo records came up? If so, that kid really is pretty bad ass. I knew him a while back. Recorded him rapping on a song once. Funny experience.
DUDE! I miss scratch "cyphers" very much indeed. That's the only time scratching is really really fun, just doing bars and shit, do people still do this? I remember carrying my turntable and mixer on the bus to go jam.
See THIS is what I'm talking about, this is the reason scratching got so crazy so fast ("friendly" competition). I wish there was a way to do this with beats.

I try and up some cuts I did back in 2000
Dope, I'd like to check out what other cats on the board are doing. I've been kinda about cutting for a while now. It seems I go back and forth between focusing on DJing or making music. Never at the same time really. I want to get back into it though. That shit is like therapy. You just zone out.

No doubt, before I got into producing I used to get in the "zone" for HOURS straight. I should up a mix CD I did in 2000 called "Faded", tons of cuts and layers upon layers of beats, cats still talk to me about that shit. I put in a shit load of work on it and never really put it out there as much as I should have, I think you'll dig it. I NEVER practice anymore (I haven't hooked my tables back up in about 2 months!), to into making my own tracks, anyways enough about me does anybody else have some crazy old mixes they can up (should make a new thread).

i haven't been using as much cutting in my tunes as i'd like. i want to change that now the lp is done, out and i don't have it on my mind any more
the track off the 12" doesn't have much in the way of cuts, but was created from cutting up and multi-tracking kicks/snares/hats etc. and transforming an old reggae lp on 45 with a touch of accapella on the top
day - your shit is really nice man. i'm good friends with lo from turntableradio - he played me the track you and exile sent over for the cuts of culture 2 comp. nice shit. the stuff i have of yours on SiC is really nice too. props
i love me some cuttin...i've definetly got my nerd on for years now...what really turns me off nowaday is that alot of younger dudes really sound like a-trak and dj revolution/spinbad clones..it's all technical with no funkyness...atrak, rev and spinbad are amazing dj's, i don't want that to come off as a dis..dudes are great....chirps-flares-orbits are really dope sounding cuts when done by someone who is funky on the turntables... oh yeah 1 more thang, seems like some of the older dj's can't do alot of the newer "turntablism" type stuff so they diss it on some insecure ish

nah sinista is dope and was always a favourite, but rob swift was the one - with the mixtapes and with the production and solo work - that always did it for me most out of the x-men. sinista was 2nd tho.

I mean, there seems to be a lot of X-Men mentions here. I got love for Rob Swift and all, but Sinista was always the nicest to me. (Nice guy too).
