I think what you can infer is that K is suggesting that part of dude's popularity has to do with his whiteness and ability to serve up reggae that's unmoored from its traditions and that, most of all, is not very "good" reggae. That's why he suggests that may people looking for good reggae should take their cues from the originators, i.e. Jamaicans.
